Today is December 1, and that means it's time to kick off our annual best of the year coverage! Over the next few weeks, I'll be polling you on your 2010 favorites and recounting the highs and lows of another year in entertainment. Today we're starting things off with the performers who made their mark on the industry this year. From potential Oscar nominees to young pop stars in the making, these are the guys and gals that just may be on the verge of becoming household names. Peruse the nominees carefully, then vote — who is the biggest breakout star of 2010?

Chloe Grace Moretz hands down, there is no one better on this list, she has been acting for awhile, in little parts on tv shows, and now she is knocking it out of the park in the movies, if she is in it then you want to see it, cause its gonna be Faboot !!!! Love Chloe Grace Moretz, she is the Total package, oh and Thanks to her Mom and Brother The Duke, keep her head from getting to big, cause she is a STAR in the Making !!!!!!!!! LOVE CHLOE !!!!!!!!

Forgot to type my "name" on other comment...I am not an avid watcher of CSI bloody disgusting shows or silly stupid reality shows about people leading less than interesting, and sometimes downright stupid, lives. CBS's Blue Blood, The Defenders, and Hawaii Five 0 made them my favorite network and they finally found out what the talent they had in Alex O'Loughlin. I haven't even heard of some of the names you have mentioned on this pole???? Guess I watch quality stuff. In my opinion anyone who watches something as "Jersey Shore" hasn't much going for them upstairs. Just my opinion....don't mean to be "mean".
I have watched Alex's career for over 4 years and read many many comments and opinions about him. He promoted organ transplants while on 3 Rivers, promoted blood drives while on Moonlight. HE CARES AND IS A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING as well as talented and loves and his appreciates his fans. I've not heard ONE word from anyone that's worked with this man that is negative...he isn't perfect, but he sure is way above a lot of these "pretty boys" Hollywood types out for the money and fame. Yeah, right. You can't tell me Moretz has gotten ALL those votes on her own. Looks like the alleged "bot" giving Sam Worthington a lot of votes has another favorite. This poll has been a complete farce since day one. If this were my website, it'd have been gone in a heartbeat after a week.

Alex is winning because he is an awesome actor and has a lot of dedicated fans. Yes he is gorgeous but it takes more than good looks to keep fans watching and rewatching your shows.

Surprised Alex is getting an obscene amount of votes, considering that "The Back-Up Plan" bombed. Hawaii 5-0 will last two or three seasons tops. These types of polls are impossible to take seriously as they're merely disguised popularity contests.
