As So You Think You Can Dance brings its fifth season to a close this week, I've been reflecting back on some of my favorite routines of the season. From highly praised and much-beloved dances to some love-it-or-hate-it numbers, these are the 10 routines I'll think about the most when I reminisce about SYTYCD season five.

I'm not sure what to think of all the thrashy/throwing movements either. When you're just flailing your body around, is that really dancing? Has anyone notices the multiple routines over 2 seasons where(in most cases the woman) is getting whacked around and thrown around. This is starting to creep me out. The last one was where Jeanine whacked/pushed/threw Evan around. Sorry, but I just don't think this is even mildly entertaining/interesting/poignant (use whatever adjuective), I find it very unsettling in view of the massive domestic abuse that goes on in real life.

This is my least favorite season ever. Once Melissa and Ade were gone, I think America really got it wrong. That being said, GO BRANDON!!!!

Ahh, i loved the jazz routine by Wade Robson. Brandon and Janette danced it perfect, that's definitely my fave of season 5!

Mia's addiction piece was my number one favourite of the season. I still watch it to this day and get chills.My second favourite was NappyTabs chain piece. So so great. When the choreographers give the dancers an almost impossible prop and they carry it off like they did. Wow.Can't wait to see those on tour.

I liked the addiction piece and the one about cancer. I just feel like I enjoyed Season 4 so much more...I thought the dancers were better (I loved Katy).

What about Mel and Ade's Sonyah number with the neon pink pants? Brandon and Jeanine with Battlefield? The boy's African dance? I would have left the butt dance and crash test off the list in favor of those dances. Also liked Mel and Ade in Right Here Waiting.

My favorite couple was Randi and Evan — their routines together are really what got me into the show this season.

Great choreography has made this season one of my favorites even though I don't feel as though I know the dancers as well as I have in past seasons. Great picks, Buzz!
