Best Movies of 2011

We were curious about this little indie film when we saw the arty trailer but worried the movie might be too precious. Not so; the film itself, about a man (Ewan McGregor) dealing with his father's simultaneous declarations that he's gay and has terminal cancer, touched us in a profound way. Christopher Plummer's acting as the father is one of the most moving performances of the year, and it had us in both sad and happy tears.
