The newly-minted Oscar nominees appeared in some fantastic films in 2010, but no working actor has a perfect résumé. The group of stars in the acting categories have a movie or two in their past that they'd probably want you (and the voting members of the Academy) to forget about, but for fun, I thought we could giggle about them — and see how far each nominee has come on the road to the Oscars!

This is the biggest troll article I ever read. Kevin Spacey should be ashamed of crap like Edison Force, not K-Pax. I think you just wanted to use this list as an excuse to kick dirt at movies you had personal issues with. With the exception of The Women, nothing here is downright shameful. Considering how this thread is going so far, no one is with you. Good job. Next year, you can write a list of embarrassing articles that entertainment writers wish they never wrote. Guess what'll be number one?

K-Pax, The Wedding Date, Where the Heart is, The Women...if these are the worst movies these actors were in then I'd say they would be some of the best people to go to for strategical career advice!

Rumor Has It and Mamma Mia weren't that bad. So they weren't indie-hipster creations of genius...big deal!

I loved the Wedding Date. Dermot was at his hottest. I still watch it whenever it comes on TBS/TNT.

Where the Heart Is happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time! And Mamma Mia! is my guilty pleasure!

KrisB, you beat me to it :) I also loved Where The Heart Is (book and movie). And I thought Debrah and Dermot had loads of chemistry in The Wedding Date.....awww, houseboat scene.

Just because a movie wasn't on Oscar radar doesn't mean it goes into the Hall of Shame. I happen to like Where the Heart Is, Mama Mia and The Wedding Date.
