The Bachelorette The Men Tell All Special Recap

The Bachelorette: The Jaw-Dropping Quotes From the Reunion

This week, Emily took a break from romancing her last two contestants, and we got to revisit all the men of The Bachelorette on the Men Tell All special. The guys had a chance to defend their reputations, and then we got to see Emily spit their words back into their faces. With all the whooping and booing in the audience, it seemed particularly Jerry Springer-esque this year, no? Let's remember some of the most show-stopping, eyebrow-raising lines of the night.

Relive all the shocking moments when you read more.

  • "For some reason, everyone in America likes things to be sugarcoated." — Kalon
You're so right, Kalon! Thank goodness we have you with your helicopters and designer duds to show us how brutal life really is.
  • "It was never fully about Emily, it was about me finding my wife." — Ryan
Despite the anger that boils in my heart when I hear the egocentric comments that pour out of Ryan's mouth, this one actually made sense. The Bachelorette or Bachelor is always painted in a flawless light, but they're not going to be right for everyone. It's really not all about Emily, it's about the contestants finding their "one and only" as well.
  • "Is there a possibility that you might just be an arrogant ass?" — Chris Harrison, to Ryan
Hands down, Chris Harrison is the best dating show host on TV.
  • "I fell in love with you — obviously didn't work out." — Sean
I think Sean meant to get a laugh from this, but no one could muster a chuckle when he was still so clearly hurting. I did like that Emily championed him in front of the audience (as if he needed the recommendation), but I'm sure he would much rather be still in the running for her heart than sitting in the reject bleachers.
  • "I just hope you find faith in something bigger than your Prada shoes and your rented helicopter." — Emily
I clapped for Emily when she told him off after his politically correct speech, and again when she called him out for being a total jerk on Twitter, but you could tell that this pointed comment really ripped him to the core.
  • "Well, we did have Jake Pavelka." — Chris Harrison
Two points to Mr. Harrison! This zinger — which the host uttered after one of the Muppets asked him if he'd ever thought about having a puppet on the show — nearly went under the radar, but I nearly spit out my tea when I heard it. Chris Harrison for The Bachelor 2013, please? If ABC can get Andy Cohen to host it, my life would be complete.
