Though they were understandably overshadowed by the Grammys, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts also held its annual awards ceremony on Sunday, in London. The reason we're paying attention, of course, is to get even more Oscar buzz. In case you weren't sure already, both Helen Mirren's and Forest Whitaker's chances are looking pretty sweet right now. Here's a list of who and what won.

Gosh, I love watching this award show. It's to-the-point, no bologna, and very classy and fun. Too bad I don't get BBC America anymore....
1Hurrah for Alan Arkin!
2We had a BAFTA Awards party. No one who came had ever watched them before - neither had we, actually; but everyone stayed way after they were over. Good party!
And yeah: Hooray for Alan Arkin, kscincotta. He completely deserved that award.
3I am disapointed Leonardo missed out on the best actor award for the departed he was inspiring in this you could really feel his anxiety and pain and ultimately fight for survival he should have won this
