Lots of familiar names on this year's list of Screen Actors Guild Award winners — from Tina Fey and Mad Men, to Kate Winslet and Slumdog Millionaire, certain names are clearly the darlings of the year's award shows. In fact, the winners list for the SAG Awards is quite similar to that of last week's Golden Globes, with a few notable differences.
The miniseries John Adams continues to be recognized with wins for the oft-awarded stars, Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti. And House fans: Hooray for Hugh Laurie! On the movie side there is yet more love for Kate Winslet and Heath Ledger, along with some appreciation for Meryl Streep and Sean Penn.
Do these movie wins give any indication for what this year's Oscars might look like? I guess we'll find out on Feb. 22. For now, you can see a full list of the 2009 SAG award winners if you read more.

i get that slumdog is the darling of the award shows this year but its really kind of annoying that even before the show starts everyone kind of knows that movie is going to win. but who knows maybe the oscars will bring something different even though i highly doubt it!
1So happy to see Sean Penn win; he is brilliant in Milk. I'm less pleased with the Meryl Streep win; she is fine in Doubt, but not exceptional. And yay for Mad Men, a well deserving winner!
2YES Hugh Laurie!!
I'm concerned about the Academy Awards, where Kate Winslet (who I'd like to see finally get an award) is nominated for Best Actress, but in a role that thus far seems to be considered a "supporting" role by the other award shows. I hope that doesn't diminish her chances.
