At long last, the many, many Grammy Awards have been announced for another year. There are some clear favorites this year, like Coldplay, Lil Wayne, and John Mayer, along with some oldsters who just keep on gettin' it right, like Robert Plant and Al Green. Indeed, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss made out like bandits this year for their collaboration on the album Raising Sand.
Elsewhere, the late George Carlin was honored with the award for Best Comedy Album, the Juno soundtrack earned the award for Compilation Soundtrack, and The Dark Knight's score was awarded Best Score Soundtrack Album. To check out a list of 2009 Grammy winners, read more.

1Oh, Juno's was cute... much better than I'd anticipated.
2YES YES YES, i love kings of leon and MGMT!
3i only knew like 3 songs !
guess im not a huge music fan !
4Seems like there was a lack of quality music that garnered grammy recognition this year. Not that many of there artists aren't talented, just seems like there was something missing here.
Some of the performances were great though like Coldplay, Radiohead and Swagga like Us compilation! Katy Perry on the other hand had an emotionless boring performance that reminded me of Britney's infamous VMA disaster.
5Radiohead's performance was my favourite of the evening and I was really rooting for them to win Album of The Year but... oh well!
6I agree Popdiva. After their jaw-dropping performance of 15 Step, for them to not win Best Album was a shocker. But happy for Page/Krauss.
7I know Miss Shapes... I don't begrudge Page and Krauss their win at all because 'Raising Sand' was a great album albeit a safe choice for the Academy to go with. I'm just glad Radiohead didn't lose out to Coldplay... that would have been a REAL travesty!!!
Also, can someone explain to me how the hell Ne-Yo was even nominated for AOTY? I mean, I totally get Lil Wayne's nomination but NE-YO???
8Sorry... I meant Plant and Krauss.
9I'm really glad that Raising Sand won a couple of awards - it's a really good album, and I'm not usually into that type of music. And glad Kings of Leon won for Sex is on Fire too!
I don't understand why Ne-Yo was nominated either.
10I'm sorry I think Coldplay is horrible!!!!
And I think J Mraz should of beat J. Mayer.
11I'm so happy that Radiohead won
. Overall I thought the show was pretty entertaining.
Much better than the last few years. I'm not a tween, so I don't understand the love of Miley. But I am a fan of music and know that Taylor Swift just sang circles around her. The Jennifer
Hudson performance was wonderful. There is no way I would have been able to keep it under control as well as she did.
12I understand why NeYo was nominated the album was actually pretty good. Music is pretty much anyman's game becuase peoplehave varying tastes. I could hate someone's music that somenone else thinks is genius. It just happens that way sometimes.
I am glad that Adele received some recognition because I believe that it is well deserved.
13There should be recognition for indie and alternative music.
14holdoll...there is some recognition for alternative. It doesn't get as many awards as rock, but there is best alternative album. Which Radiohead won for In Rainbows.
15T.I.'s Paper Trail definitely should've won for best rap album. Lil Wayne?! seriously??
and I agree, Jason Mraz should've beat John Mayer!
16Jason Mraz deserves a freakin' Grammy!
