American Idol Top Five Recap

American Idol's top five contestants got to show their range with two performances tonight. The finalists were each challenged to pick one current song and one older one, which meant we were treated to everything from beloved classics to an as-of-yet unreleased Lady Gaga track off Born This Way! Sheryl Crow was the mentor for the night and emotions were running high — James even broke down in tears during his second number. There were some performances that could become big highlights of the season, though is it just me or are the judges finally cracking down with the criticism just a bit in the homestretch?
