Even Diehard American Horror Story Fans May Have Missed This Season 1 Reference

If you looked at the realtor on this week's American Horror Story: Hotel premiere and thought she looked familiar, it's because she's already been on the show. We actually already knew that Christine Estabrook would reprise her role as Marcy, but we didn't anticipate that she would make a fantastically subtle reference to her time on the first season. One of her first lines on Hotel is: "I had to put my dog down. He came to me through very unfortunate circumstances." It's easy to glaze over this line, but wait! Marcy is referring to Hallie, the Harmon's dog!

If you recall, she adopts the dog after — spoiler alert — the Harmons all die in the Murder House. When the Ramos family comes to check out the now-vacant home, Marcy tells them a sugar-coated version of what has happened in the house. She's holding Hallie, who she calls "the only remaining member of the Harmon family." Spooky!
