Hi there, I'm Karli Bulnes, and we're taking you to the premiere of JJ Abrams new series Alcatraz in today's PopSugar Rush!
JJ Abrams is debuting his hot new TV series Alcatraz, and what better place to go for the debut than to the source material itself.
LAUREN: I'm here at the premiere for Fox's new series Alcatraz which believe it or not is actually in the real Alcatraz in . . .
LAUREN: The shower room!
PARMINDER NAGRA: This is my first time in Alcatraz, and what a way to come here it's really bizarre. It's like I'm on some set, but it's a prison which is even more bizarre.
JONNY COYNE: It's great, it's very exciting to see it like this, and to be interviewed in the showers
JASON BUTLER HARNER: To be here tonight is really fun; whoever thought to do that.
PopSugarTV's Lauren Bradshaw journeyed to the Rock last night for the big event which brought together all of the cast members of the hot show.
LAUREN: We asked several of the stars why they got involved in the series and the answer was pretty much unanimous."
SARAH JONES: Obviously, JJ Abrams.
ROBERT FORESTER: JJ Abrams. You don't have to know much except this guy is going to make a show.
PARMINDER NAGRA: The fact that it was a JJ Abrams show made me even more intrigued . . .
SAM NEILL: The name JJ Abrams is an enormous pull in itself.
The series reunites JJ and LOST fan favorite, Jorge Garcia . . .
HURLEY: "Dude"
And even though JJ couldn't make it to last night's premiere, Jorge told us that saying yes to the producer was basically a no-brainer.
JORGE GARCIA: When he calls i'm happy to be a part of it. a) cause I love him and 2) because the tv he makes is the TV I want to watch.
LAUREN: The show kicks off here at Alcatraz, as a prisoner from the 1960s wakes up in present day, completely unchanged, and a group of investigators, tries to track him down.
But if you really want to know what the series is about, we asked the stars themselves to tell us how they would describe it.
JORGE GARCIA: "Intrigue!"
JASON BUTLER HARNER: "I'd say eerie, or just spooky."
SAM NEILL: "Adventure!"
SARAH JONES: "It's entertaining, there's something for everyone, it's really entertaining."
