Album Stream: Jam with Jarvis Online
Ever since I first saw the brilliantly funny video for Jarvis Cocker's "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time," I've been anxiously awaiting the U.S. release his album, Jarvis. (I mean, I love ya and all, Jarvis, but I'm not paying $26 for a CD import in this day and age.)
The former Pulp frontman's solo debut finally came out yesterday, and I'm positively giddy that we can stream the full album online. I recommend "Black Magic," with its church bells and "Crimson and Clover"-esque backing vocals, as well as the nostalgic "Tonite," which offers a mature perspective on such standard Pulp subjects as sex and drugs.
