Lauren Conrad was among the celebrity guests who ventured out to LA's Palihouse last night to preview the new shoes from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet. She was joined by other celebs like Jordana Brewster, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Maria Menounos, and Shenae Grimes. LC, no stranger to design ventures herself, was decked out in one of Stacey's dresses and her signature "fun bun." Lauren hit the bash, which featured a tree made of shoes, despite being busy lately putting the finishing touches on her own new Paper Crown designs. Lauren's also spending time stocking her website, The Beauty Department, with the latest in hair and makeup trends. A recent posting was about at a hip way to do braids. LC's even ventured into the kitchen to address her cravings for Italian food, attempting to make a carbless pizza.
NBC Stars Aimee Teegarden and Gillian Jacobs Make a Splash in Their Bikinis
Aimee Teegarden hit the beach with a friend in Miami yesterday. She was spotted sharing a laugh with her pal and also checking out coconuts in the sand. The actress, who's currently on the small screen as the final season of Friday Night Lights airs, slipped into a bikini after making an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards in LA on Sunday. She donned a brightly colored Alice + Olivia dress and did her own hair and makeup for the show. Fellow NBC star, Gillian Jacobs, was also in South Beach enjoying the sun in her suit. Her series, Community, is on hiatus for the Summer, though Gillian already has a new movie lined up. She's joining Steve Carell and Keira Knightley in Seeking a Friend For the End of the World, which has started filming on the West Coast. Aimee also has a film project in the works with the October release of Beneath the Darkness.
Armie Hammer, Hailee Steinfeld, Garrett Hedlund, and Elle Fanning Win Big at the Young Hollywood Awards
Hollywood's up-and-coming talent came together Friday night at LA's Club Nokia for the 13th annual Young Hollywood Awards. The new face of Miu Miu, Hailee Steinfeld, stepped out in a black and white ensemble from the brand to accept the breakthrough of the year honor from her True Grit costar Jeff Bridges. More statues went out to Style Icon Camilla Belle, in a Tom Ford suit, and Star of Tomorrow Armie Hammer, who caught up with his hilarious Parks and Recreation star pal Aziz Ansari. Camilla stuck close by her supposed real-life leading man, Topher Grace. Grey's Anatomy's Jesse Williams was crowned TV actor of the year, while Elle Fanning had her Somewhere director Sofia Coppola's dad, Francis, on hand to witness her film actress of the year honor. Garrett Hedlund had Midnight in Paris star Michael Sheen on hand to pass on the film actor of the year distinction, and the awardees kept the good times rolling afterward with a party. The whole show airs Thursday night on the ION channel.
Prom: Harmless Fun
The Disney film Prom is exactly what you would expect from the studio known for its parade of princesses: sweet, candy-colored, and completely wholesome. Aimee Teegarden stars as Nova, the typical overachieving student who is at the top of her senior class and heading up the prom committee. She has tasked herself with ensuring that the prom is a perfect night for everyone, believing that it can somehow right all the wrongs for any student who's had a less-than-ideal high school experience. When an accident destroys the prom decor she has worked so hard on, the principal assigns the school's resident slacker, Jesse (Thomas McDonell), to help her, much to Nova's chagrin.

The prom is the linchpin for several other student storylines as well: one long-term couple breaks up just before the big night, one girl dreads the event because she's worried about telling her boyfriend that she won't be going to the same college as him after graduation, a younger couple is brought together, and one hapless character can't find a date to save his life. All of these stories make Prom at once feel like you never really get to know anyone (or care), but it also makes the film easily digestible. To find out what I liked about Prom, just read more
Video: Courteney Has Both David and Josh on Scream Red Carpet as David Talks About Their Future as a Couple!
It looked like a happy meeting for Courteney Cox and David Arquette at the Scream 4 red carpet in NYC last night. The exes shared a hug and posed for photos and Courteney's Cougar Town costar Josh Hopkins also came out to support her at the premiere and afterparty. The actress has kept quiet about relationship status, though David has been fairly outspoken. He even went on Howard Stern's radio show this morning, where he spilled about their recent trip to Disneyland — and revealed that the former couple shared a kiss or two. Is a reunion in the works? Check it out!

Movie Preview: Go Back to High School With Disney's Prom
You couldn't pay me to have to relive high school, but prom? I only have good memories. That's why this new trailer for Disney's movie Prom is making me nostalgic and kind of excited to see it. It stars Friday Night Lights' Aimee Teegarden as a high school student stressing out over her upcoming prom. Her story is intersected with fellow students at the same school (you'll also recognize Nicholas Braun if you were a fan of short-lived ABC Family show 10 Things I Hate About You) who are all dealing with the pressure of the event in their own way.
Sound trite? Sure, but the trailer treats the students' plight as endearing and very earnest (the faux-documentary method is even employed at one point). Plus, it looks a little bit more grown-up than Disney's other high-school-set franchise, High School Musical, and I can't help but be charmed by Teegarden's everygirl (well, 17-year-old everygirl) dilemmas. The movie comes out April 29, 2011 (perhaps to coincide with real proms), but take a look at the preview when you read more
Friday Night Lights Rundown: Episode 13, "Tomorrow Blues"

This season's final episode of Friday Night Lights is all about the seniors. It's five months after the football season, and college decisions are in, setting many of our Panthers and Panther faithful on new paths. Meanwhile, Coach's contract comes up for renewal, which means he's once again staring down Joe McCoy and his merry band of moneyed followers. To talk about the end of this season — and what it means for seasons four and five — just read more
90210 Rundown: Episode 17, "Life's a Drag"
So, who tuned in to this week's return episode of 90210? Those of us sticking with this show have been promised improvements, so I'll be curious to hear your verdict. Are you starting to see signs that things are picking up? The wardrobe looks a little better, and the overall production quality seems more modern, so that's good.

But what about the plot? Well, the bad news is a lot of the dialogue is still howlingly bad. And it's not even fun-bad — it's just bad. For example, at one point Annie's outside in the park at night with a guy from her play, and the first thing he says to her is, "The stars seem so far away." Oof. Thanks, Captain Obvious. However, there is really good news: Silver is totally out of her mind and creates the best student video of all time. Also, Annie's super-mad at Ethan, and Naomi goes drag racing.
As you know, sometimes words alone aren't enough to convey this show's funniest/weirdest/most dramatic scenes, so I'm once again grabbing for you some of my favorite clips from this episode. To check out the clips and discuss the episode, read more
Friday Night Lights Rundown: Episode 8, "New York, New York"

This week's Friday Night Lights is a weeper for sure, as Jason sets off for the big city to try to start a new life as a sports agent and father. Meanwhile, Julie gets a shot at playing sports agent herself when she lobbies Coach on Matt's behalf, and Tyra reaches a critical point in her ongoing college vs. Cash debate. Ready to chat about it?
