Who knows why TV networks do what they do. I was confused when ABC wasted one of its few remaining episodes of Grey's Anatomy on Thanksgiving Day, then made us wait two weeks for the conclusion to those stories; I'm even more baffled that they put off the show's final remaining episode until tonight. I thought I'd be so excited, but I'm actually having a tough time being enthusiastic knowing that whatever happens tonight is all we'll get till the strike ends.
That said, though, tonight's episode looks like a doozy. I've said before that Grey's is only as good as it lets Bailey be, and this episode is a showcase for her (and for newly minted People's Choice winner Chandra Wilson). Bailey takes over for Meredith as narrator tonight, and her story — a personal tragedy that's partially revealed in the promo below — serves as the episode's centerpiece. Meanwhile, George's mother shows up at Seattle Grace, and Derek has to deal with the fallout from his kiss with Rose. It sounds like a packed hour, and I hope it's satisfying enough to tide me over for a while. To watch that preview I mentioned, plus another emotional scene from the episode, just read more.

Whoa!!!
Okay, so there is a new one tonight but there hasn't been a new one since Bailey missed lunch with her husband, correct?
I had no idea tonight's was new. What would I do without you, Buzz!?
1I didn't know tonight's was going to be new either! I guess I'll actually be watching tv outside the news today.
2Does this mean Pacey's not going to be appearing after all? Please Buzz, say it ain't so!
3brittanybe — It's so. Bummer, right? They've promised to get him in as soon as the writers are working again, but who knows when that will be? Sigh.
4You know, I went on the website the other day to get some of the music info from some episodes, and saw this promo and was like "How did I miss this episode!??!"
5I really wondered why they waited too. Most of us assumed that the end of the two-parter was it because of the strike.
Hooray for more Bailey!
6I almost forgot about the last episode that was on. I'll be watching tonight for sure. I've been going through Karev withdrawal (don't judge, people
)
7Super excited for it! TV has been beyond boring with the exception of ProjRun.
Any end to the writer's strike in sight?
8I am so excited for it, and for Chandra. This episode is going to get her some great recognition because it's the last episode, it's what everyone will remember. But does anyone else think this stinks for Heigl, because of her nominations and such and not being a big part of this episode?

HONEY! You're not the only one!
:)
10I have such a love/hate relationship with the show, but I love Bailey and I need to get my Alex fix, so I'll tune in.
11if they kill bayle's baby.. I am gonna quit the who (I said the same if they Kill Hiro of Heroes..

12you know, i feel like i lose faith on the show during mid-season but then they come up with these big story lines - and they are the reason to pull back in and watch. i saw the one on thanksgiving and i think that i'll make the effort to watch it tonight.
