Need something new to watch now that the writers' strike is snatching your old favorite shows away? Fear not: The TV calendar is about to fill up with new shows and season premieres of some old favorites. Even more than usual this year, this list is subject to change as networks try to figure out their strike plans, so I'll do my best to update as schedules shift — most finales dates, for example, could change if shows go back in production. Did I skip your favorite? Leave a comment, and I'll try to track it down. If you're looking for a current list of how many episodes various shows have left, this is a good one.

Like lots of folks, I'm extremely excited about the Wire premiering this Sunday. The new-ish promo HBO has now to White Lines makes me giddy every time it comes on.
1Do you know if the new High School Reunion show (TVLand?) is slated to air anytime soon? I know they filmed it last fall. Any word?
2Thanks!
Thanks, Buzz. This list is very helpful. Looking forward to the return of Friday Night Lights, if only for a little bit, and to The Wire. What a great show this is!
3Thanks, Buzz. A very helpful list. Any word on Chuck (NBC)?
4I love MEN IN TREES and I hear they have lots of episodes written, so wondering why they are waiting before playing them. Any word on that?
5On Chuck — It has two episodes left, but NBC hasn't announced dates for airing them yet.
On Men in Trees — It looks like ABC wanted it to take over for Cashmere Mafia once that show runs out of episodes. It looks like it will be on Wednesdays instead of Fridays, though, so that's good.
On High School Reunion -- not sure, but I'll look into it!
6man..no House til February? How will I last that long?
7Miss America: Reality Check looks strangely appealing.
8I saw the previews for Miss America: Reality Check and almost had a showgasm! Michael Urie, beauty pageants, tears, and Clinton from What Not to Wear? Sign me up!
I'm also excited for American Gladiators...I watch the worst TV, I swear.
9what about the tudors?
10what's going on with heroes? i haven't seen this past season (i'm saving it up, even though i heard it wasn't a very good season) so no spoilers please!
but heroes and heroes: origins??
11Heroes has already aired all the episodes for this season (the ones it got done before the strike started), and Origins is on hold indefinitely. So if you want to start watching those saved up episodes, now might be a good time!
121 vs 100 was on before, wasn't it? So isn't it a return rather than a premier? I'm sure I watched an episode of it with an ex one cozy Friday night a year or so ago.
13chaton — yes, you're right. In this case, "premieres" are season or series premieres, and 1 vs 100 is a season premiere. "Returns" are fall shows that are continuing their seasons.
14what about Pushing Daisies?
Ned, Chuck, Olive, I miss them!!
15thanks Buzz.
16any idea when/if 'dirt' will be returning?
JERICHO
17Oh no! Cane and How I Met Your Mother are out of episodes =( They're my favorite shows! Buzz, do you think that Cane will be renewed for another season-- since this is the first season and the season finale hasn't aired yet??
18mandatedfun: I just added Dirt to the schedule! FX just announced a March 2 premiere for it. It only has seven episodes done, but hey, it's something!
i am awesomeness: I'm not sure about Cane. I think a lot of the first-year shows are in the same spot, though. I think it will depend on if the strike's over in time for writers to pitch new pilots for the fall; if not, I bet the networks stick with the shows they already had this season.
