Here's another movie to add to the list of films opening this Friday: We Are Marshall, featuring Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox, the hunky doctor from "Lost." The sentimental-looking trailer introduces us to Huntington, West Virginia, where college football is a way of life. When the town's Marshall University football team is killed in a plane crash, the townsfolk have to learn how to rebuild their lives and restore their hope with a little help from an optimistic new football coach (McConaughey). I heard it got bad reviews.
2After seeing Matthew McConaughey's CNN interview with Solidad this morning, I want to see the film. He pointed out that the producers and directors promised two things to the community: no clips of the crash and no attempts to portray the players, their families or the West Virginia community, in general, as hicks.
