Which of this year's top albums won a spot on your iPod? Here's what pop, indie, and hip-hop releases you told me were your best of 2007.
Best Pop Album of 2007:
Britney Spears, Blackout
Britney went two-for-two in Buzz's music polls, first winning comeback of the year and then getting the most votes in this poll, too. It wasn't even close — the real race was for second, with Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad just a handful of votes behind. Amy Winehouse's Back to Black.
I had to go with Winehouse — she may be a mess personally, but her music has had me dancing all year.

Best Hip-Hop Album of 2007:
Kanye West, Graduation
Kanye's third album got your votes in this category, beating out second-place finisher Timbaland by a healthy margin. M.I.A.'s Kala was a distant third, with the rest of the votes split pretty evenly between the other contenders. Write-in mentions went to Talib Kweli's Eardrum and Lupe Fiasco's The Cool.
I had a tough time deciding between Kanye and Jay-Z's American Gangster, but while Kanye's album is undoubtedly fun, I ultimately voted for Jay-Z, whose high-concept album is at once complex, innovative, and insanely catchy.
Best Indie Rock Album of 2007:
Feist, The Reminder
It's been a huge year for Ms. Leslie Feist, and you recognized it by voting her album the best indie release of 2007. Second place was a four-way battle between The Shins' Wincing the Night Away, Rilo Kiley's Under the Blacklight, Radiohead's In Rainbows, and the Arcade Fire's Neon Bible. This category had a ton of write-in candidates, too, most notably Spoon's Ga Ga Ga.
This one was a tough choice for me between The Reminder and Neon Bible, but since I've basically (OK, actually) said I'd like to be Leslie Feist when I grow up, I had to give her my vote.

leslie feist! yes! britney spears, best pop album? WHAT? ack. i'm fine with kanye winning this, but i will always vote for common.
1I said it yesterday and I'll say it again: HOW will Britney ever disappear if people keep rooting for her?
And how can that talentless hack get more votes than Amy Winehouse? Sure, they're both totally effed up, but Amy's album was amazing!
I'm going to go throw a tantrum now.
2Britney Spears?! Give me a break. Seriously, I can't believe people still buy her albums.
3Dear God, Britney did not have the best pop album, it wasn't evena marginal hit, those crazy fans of hers..........
4Why is it that when it comes to Britney, people can't separate her from her music. Amy Winehouse is just as big a mess as Britney, but people don't seem to have a problem with her. Blackout is not only Britney's best album to date, but it is also a GOOD dance/pop album in general. If pop music isn't your thing, that's fine, but don't hate it just because it's Britney. And listen to more than Gimme More before you blow the whole thing off as a piece of crap.
5Amy Winehouse, as big of a mess as she might be, actually CONTRIBUTED to the making of her cd. Brit had producers make her music for her, and then put down marginal vocals.
Britney's effort is probably only 10% of that cd. Keri Hilson had more of an impact on that cd than BS.
6Best Albums of the year: Kala by M.I.A, In Rainbows by Radiohead, Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem, and Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge by the Pierces.
Also, I just downloaded the new Mary J. Blige, so if that still counts as a 2007 album put her down too. : )
7RIHANNA HAD THE BEST POP ALBUM, I THINK!
8I managed to listen to a few songs from Blackout - overprocessed and boring. And minimal contribution from the "artist".
9It was a hard choice for me between Rihanna and Amy Winehouse, but I definitely played Amy Winehouse more often, and the album as a whole was better.
Britney has always sounded over-manufactured and synthesized to death, in my opinion. Personal issues aside, Britney's new release was just more of the same to me. I prefer something that has a more unique sound.
10You're kidding... right? Britney?!
11Britney - "Comeback of the year". There is something wrong with that statement!
