We can debate the best and worst songs of this season until we all turn blue (or our fingers fall off for that matter) because everyone has strong opinions about which holiday music is appropriately cheerful and which is gratingly annoying. I try my best to bring in new holiday albums every year so my collection doesn't grow too stale, but I must admit that I have my time-tested favorites!
I love Nat King Cole's Christmas Song so much I suggested it in one of my holiday gift guides. Cole's voice is just so warm and comforting — like the holiday season itself. For an even more down-home Christmastime atmosphere, I turn to Christmas With Johnny Cash. And in more recent years I've loved the smooth jazzy seasonal tunes on Diana Krall's album Christmas Songs.
What are your most beloved holiday albums? Just use BuzzSugar's cool bookmarking tool to find your favorite albums around the Web, tag them with the phrase holiday albums, and write a little blurb about why they're the best. I'll feature a few picks here next week — just in time to beef up your music collection before the holidays.

My favorite holiday album is "Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas". I love love love it.
The "Elf" soundtrack and "Christmas With The Rat Pack" also top my list.
1I love Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas, but every year I look forward to pulling out my copy of "Ella Fitzgerald Wishes You a Swingin' Christmas." Definitely a favorite!
2Aimee Mann's One More Drifter in the Snow, Tony Bennett's Snowfall, and anything from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. All are listening staples for the holiday season.
3Funny how you blogged this. I have been scoping for one good Christmas album on iTunes and finally gave up. I made my own mix with all the songs I like by various artists. Do you know that you can't buy "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band Aid by itself? And "Winter Wonderland" by Darlene Love isn't even available to buy.
4a very special christmas! U2's baby please come home, Run DMC's christmas in hollis, whitney houston, sting, etc. reminds me of my childhood...i love it!
5Mariah Carey's christmas album is the best, for sure. I also just got Relient K's album and it's really fun!
6You need some Burl Ives!!
7Bing Crosby's White Christmas! I used to have the 8 track and listen to it under the tree every year! We'd drag the player out just for our Christmas 8 tracks.
8John Denver and the Muppets.
favorite part, they are doing "we wish you a merry christmas" and Gonzo is singing "oh bring us a figgy pudding" and Ms Piggy says "piggy pudding?" and gonzo says "no figgy, not piggy" and she says "oh okay" and then quietly he says "and bacon"
9as i child i had my mothers vinyl recording of a bunch of disney characters singing traditional carols and christmas songs and I still love it. it's adorable and brings back so many memories
