kanye's album is the weakest from the rest of his albums.
50 is a joke.
mia, love it.
but my vote goes for common. it's not your 'let's dance to this in the club' album, but it's the type you want to listen to 24/7. his lyrics are clever and creative. there are tracks in the
album that had me saying, 'if marvin gaye was a rapper, he would be rapping to this track right here.' it's a...sexy hip-hop album.
MIA is no hip hop, Chris rock is more hip hop/rnb. timbaland's album gave us the Way I are which was one of summer's anthems and of course Apologize and Kanye gave us Stronger. They tie for
best album. Jay-z's album is so weak.
Chris Brown is not HipHop more like pop/r&b. Timbaland had a lot of hits but he's more of a producer, nowhere near the lyrical skills of Kanye or Common or Jay-Z (even though American
Gangster wasn't his best). I love T.I. but T.I. vs. T.I.P. is nowhere near as strong as King. 50 cent is garbage he should have kept his promise and retired!! My vote is Kanye.
It's between CB, Kanye and Timbaland but because I don't really count CB as a hip-hop artist (More like r&b like lawkat said) and even though I love the way I are and Apologize I have to
go for Kanye. Come on, Chris Martin and Kanye... You can't say no to that
M.I.A. is hip hop - she's more on the classic, DJing end of it, and she spits ridiculous when she's mad about something. I loved Kala - it brought back a lot of the fun that she had on her
Piracy album before she hit the states.

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
Timbaland, Shock Value
1timbaland came out with a lot of great hits
2I love that Kanye album, but can I write in Talib Kweli's "Eardrum"? That album is amazing!
Common's is pretty awesome too. There were so many great hip hop albums this year.
3Timbaland
4Easily Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, it has everything.
5i liked chris brown's.
but really there were so many good ones.
6As much as I love Kanye, I have to vote Timbaland; I love almost every song on Shock Value where I only like a few off of Kanye's.
7It's a tie between Timbaland and Kanye West ... both albums rockkkked!
8kanye's album is the weakest from the rest of his albums.

9loved Shock Value.
10Timbaland.I loved Shock Value.
11M.I.A was my favorite album of the year, but I dont know if she should be considered in the hip hop category?
12why is chris brown and mia in this category?
13timbaland, everything he touches turns to gold with the exception of that 50 cent song, that was a hot mess!
14timbaland!!!!
15M.I.A.

19Chris B or Kanye..
20My hubs loves 50 cent - it's the only hip-hop i listen too.
21MIA - such a new sound for mainstream music in the US. I want more!
22I've never heard any of the choices. I'm so out of touch!
23there's my girl Maya! her album pwned all this year. brilliant, original, and daring.
24Timbaland
25M.I.A. is hip hop - she's more on the classic, DJing end of it, and she spits ridiculous when she's mad about something. I loved Kala - it brought back a lot of the fun that she had on her Piracy album before she hit the states.
26Graduation is an amazing album!
27Something about his personality annoys me a little, but I love all of Kanye's albums.
