haha I was watching Never Mind the Buzzcocks last night and they brought up Maximo Park and I was like who? They had a question about why they had to cancel a show....something about the
guitarist breaking his arm during an arm wrestling match with their lawyer
Is Never Mind the Buzzcocks still on? That's great! I used to love that show when I
lived in the UK. Maximo Park are from Newcastle, they're fantastic! (Oh well, at least I think they are. )
I loooove Hot Hot Heat, but this year's album (Happiness ltd.) wasn't their best. Elevators and Make Up the Breakdown totally rock. So I voted for Feist because I like her stuff off the new
album.
Radiohead, of course. Followed by Rilo. Followed by The New Pornographers. I grew really tired of the Feist album after 2 listens and now if a song comes up on my IPOD, I skip it.
the new porno's album art may be heinous, but the album is remarkable. how carl newman manages to write such simultaneously modern yet timeless songs absolutely baffles me.
I can't decide between Neon Bible, Wincing and The Reminder but I chose Wincing instead. And it is kinda weird why Ga Ga Ga Ga isn't here, that was a great album
Heartily dislike Feist. I'm torn between New Porns, Arcade Fire, and the Shins. My heart is with the New Pornographers because they're good friends, but I also know Win and Regine well and my
husband toured with the Shins. So.... I don't know.
Radiohead certainly IS indie. When they left EMI and released their album label-less, that was the spirit of indie. I don't like Radiohead, but they are again an indie band, due t being on an
indie label. I play alt-folk, and I'm on an indie label. Hence, I am indie.
I voted for Feist, but it's far from Indie! I liked the Rilo Kiley album as well, and my write-in vote is for PJ Harvey- that was the best album of the year full stop.

Nicky Hilton was spotted leaving The Ivy restaurant after a day of shopping with sister Paris. Her casual yet stylish outfit, which consisted of skinny jeans, tall black boots and an Alice + Olivia military blazer, was perfect for the occasion.
i guess M.I.A.'s "Arular" doesn't really count as indie rock... or LCD Soundsystem's "Sound of Silver." definitely my top 2 albums this year.
1Arular came out in 2005. M.I.A's new album is Kala which was released in August07
Im going for Rilo Kiley ONLY because Im not a fan of Rilo Kiley and Im actually liking their new stuff
2Spoon's "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga"
3I voted for Rilo Kiley but I am also a huge fan of Stars - "In our Bedroom After the War"
4The Weakerthans "Reunion Tour"
It's hard to choose just one though...
5Wait, would you call Maximo Park indie? If so, I'd definitely say Maximo Park "Our Earthly Pleasures".
6my b, i meant "kala."

Gotta say, "Heretics" by Andrew Bird, is amazing. Gets my vote (was a little surprised to see it!)
13Neon Bible was a killer! Can't wait to see Arcade Fire live!
14Neon Bible was a killer! Can't wait to see Arcade Fire live!
15I dont like any of them, especially fiest.
16I loooove Hot Hot Heat, but this year's album (Happiness ltd.) wasn't their best. Elevators and Make Up the Breakdown totally rock. So I voted for Feist because I like her stuff off the new album.
17Of Montreal is also great, but nobody makes me grin and shake my ass like the New Pornographers.

20Radiohead
21Rilo Kiley
22I LOVE the Feist and Shins albums. I like many of the other albums, but these two I listen to over and over again!
23Oh yeah-- SPOON as a write-in? how about it? possibly their best album yet!!!!
24I think Feist because she had the most songs I liked on her album =)
25I have all of these and love them, but I had to go with Andrew Bird.
26Rasputina-Oh Perilous World
27White Rabbits - Fort Nightly
28Spoon - Ga Ga Ga
29Wilco - Sky Blue Sky
I can't decide between Neon Bible, Wincing and The Reminder but I chose Wincing instead. And it is kinda weird why Ga Ga Ga Ga isn't here, that was a great album
30I liked Feist
31I love Rilo Kiley.
32Jens Lekman, The Shins and Billie the Vision and the Dancers' "Where The Ocean Meets My Hand" http://www.myspace.com/billiethevisionandthedancers
33Heartily dislike Feist. I'm torn between New Porns, Arcade Fire, and the Shins. My heart is with the New Pornographers because they're good friends, but I also know Win and Regine well and my husband toured with the Shins. So.... I don't know.
34Radiohead is not indie anymore. they haven't been for a long time. why are they on this poll?
35im a huge interpol fan and i think that their album "our love to admire" was the greatest album of 07. its still the top album played on my itunes.
36Andrew Bird all the way. I'm glad to see he made this list -- I only know about him because he went to the same college as me.
37I love Feist and Radiohead--ahh his voice just gives me the chills
38The Sun and the Moon-byt the Bravery
39Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
40Arcade Fire!!!!! Love them!!!
41Rilo Kiley!
42Radiohead certainly IS indie. When they left EMI and released their album label-less, that was the spirit of indie. I don't like Radiohead, but they are again an indie band, due t being on an indie label. I play alt-folk, and I'm on an indie label. Hence, I am indie.
43It was a hard choice for me between Feist and The Shins, but I ultimately chose The Shins, I saw them in concert and they were absolutely fantastic.
44ooh...my personal fav was Architecture in Helsinki's Places Like This
45Architecture in Helsinki and Arctic Monkeys
46as much as I love andrew bird, the new Band of Horses cd Cease to Begin is by far the best new indie release!
and i have to agree, Spoon definitely should have made the list Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga was great.
47I vote Of Montreal. They're doing their own thing and it is so enjoyable.
48I voted for Feist, but it's far from Indie! I liked the Rilo Kiley album as well, and my write-in vote is for PJ Harvey- that was the best album of the year full stop.
49Jens Lekman and The Shins
But I love Arcade Fire too...and Billie the Vision and the
Dancers, they're great
