With every episode of Pushing Daisies I watch, the sorrier I get that I missed creator Bryan Fuller's 2003 show Dead Like Me. The Showtime series centered on a sassy grim reaper named George, who's tasked with stealing souls. The black comedy lasted for two seasons and developed a serious fan following in the process.
A straight-to-DVD movie is currently in the works, and now the first trailer has been released. The movie introduces a few new characters, including Cameron Cane (Henry Ian Cusick), the new boss of the reapers. I'm curious to hear what fans of the show think, so check it out below. As for me, I'll finally be renting the show on DVD to get caught up with George before this movie hits stores. To watch the trailer, just read more.

I discovered the show on the SciFi channel awhile back and became addicted! I love George and the reaping crew. Even if the movie gets bad reviews, I'll probably still rent it just to watch it.
1I've never seen this but I love pushing daisies and lost (go desmond) so I think i could check this out. Also is that girl the young girl from hook???? steen- you say they play it on the sci fi channel?
2Dead like me was brilliant! One of the first original series on Showtime that made them a proper contender against HBO.
Very excited over the movie.
3THAT made my ENTIRE day. I loved, loved this show!!! I was so upset when they took it off, not I have something to look forward to. Not sure how I feel about Mandy not being in charge anymore.

I didn't even recognize Reggie at first!
6I loved that show.It was the reason I got Showtime.I was sad when they canceled it.I can't wait for the movie.
7Wow! Reggie sure has grown up! I'm glad Mason is in the film, he's always been my favourite.
8Is it just me or does the voice-over sound nothing like Ellen Muth though?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW AND WAS SO UPSET WHEN IT WENT AWAY!!!!!
9So excited they're making a movie, even though Rube's not around anymore.
Ahhh! This is like, the best news EVER. I loved that show and was so disappointed when it went off the air, especially since it ended on a sort of cliffhanger!
10Also, holy WOW about how different Reggie looks! Who knew she'd go from super awkward to so pretty.
11Thank You soooo much Buzz this is awesome. I loved that show. And at first the idea of a straight to DVD movie (read complete re-cast and horrible B rate acting) didn't appeal to me. But this trailer looks incredible. I can't wait to see what happens with george and Reggie. Their relationship was always so typical of sisters so love hate and complete idolotry it was true to life. I'm definitely renting maybe even buying once this is available in stores
12I loved this show! I'm ridiculously excited that they are putting a movie out.
And I totally didn't even realize it was Reggie till she was talking to her mom. Wow!
13me too! i couldn't figure out who the voice over was. i wish rube and the original daisy adair were in it. oh well, i'll still watch it.
14okay i want to say that i remember this because it does look familiar but not sure where to place it inside my head. i'm just drawing blank right now. the premise of the movie does interest me though.
15I am so excited!!! My hubby and I watched Dead Like Me when it was on Showtime...what a wonderful show. I even signed some petitions to stop it from being cancelled. I'm going to miss Mandy Patinkin, his relationship with George's character was so sweet.
16beansandsyke, that blonde IS Daisy. They replaced the original actress...I think she had a scheduling conflict. =( Also, I am bummed that Mandy is not in it. He would have been the star power to possibly bring in more people. Still, I loved the show and can't wait to see what the movie has in store.
17OMG! I thought that show was all in the past! I used to love it, I even have the first season on DVD. I can´t wait for the movie to come out. BTW the sister´s has really grown! But you can tell it´s the same actress...
18I'm so excited. I love Mason!
19i know i mean i like the girl that played her i dont take to kindly to actor changes hah you fall in love with one person its hard to watch someone try to be them you know
20I just watched the first two episodes of this on netflix last night. I'm intrigued but Im not as in love with it as I am with Wonderfalls or Pushing Daisies. I'll reassess once Ive watched a couple more episodes haha. But seriously whats with Brian Fuller and giving the heroines boy names? George? Chuck? Even Jaye is somewhat gender neutral.
21YEAH!!!!!
:)
I love this show!
just love it
I'm so happy
But I liked the old boss
22and the trailer, as a trailer, isn't all that WOW. I hope the movie will be good though
I can't even put it into words how excited I am about this.
I love Mason so much, but I'm going to miss his little arguments with Rube.
