Everyone is excited about Ellen Page, but her demeanor and delivery just make me think of a younger Janeane Garofalo. One was enough for me.
Megan Fox and Zac Efron are hotties!
It will be interesting to see what Saoirse Ronan does. She is great in Atonement. So, she got my vote.
Zac, Ellen [love Hard Candy with Patrick Wilson], Michael, and Nikki.
As much as people dislike Zac, I think once he pulls a Johnny Depp, or Leonardo he'll be on his way to a pretty nice career. He just has to ditch the teeney-bopper films very very soon.
I don't get the whole Shia-lovefest. Why do people think he's hot??? He's just a scrawny looking kid. He's very talented but i just can't dig that he's considered "hot." Annnnd, he seems a
bit stuck-up to me. i think the fame got to his head real bad.
Anyway, my vote went to Michael Cera because he doesn't seem like he's trying to be Mr. Supercool and there's a sweetness about him that just makes me want to pinch his cheeks! lol...
I voted for Ellen Page because I've loved her since Hard Candy. I didn't see Shia up there until I'd already voted, but Shia was my pick for up and comer last year...in my world he done rose
already!
nicachica- I think a lot of people think Shia's attractive, yes, (myself included...I love the cute nerdy thing he has going on) but he's really considered a "rising star" because he's
extraordinarily talented. Of all the ho hum thrillers that came out this year, and a lot of them had HUGE stars in them and still flopped, Disturbia succeeded because it had a good story,
good director, and AWESOME talent. I love that he sways back and forth between main stream (Transformers, Indiana Jones) and indie (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints). Plus, he's actually a
really cool guy and not stuck-up at all. So sorry for the Shia lovefest, but I just felt the need to plead the kids case.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Shia ever since Even Stevens (ys I still watch the Disney channel for re-runs) But ellen Page is one of the brightest young actors I've seen in a while. Ever since I saw her in
Hard Candy (which , by the way was BRILLIANT) I have wanted to see if her acting prowess could hold up under lighter material. And now just having seen the trailer for Juno I know she's the
real deal. Since it isn't playing anywhere in my town I'll have to wait to see it but I really hope we hear more from her really soon

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
Ellen Page. I really hope to see more of her in the coming year. The girl packs a LOT of talent.
1in the spirit of how well little miss sunshine was - i have to say that ellen page from juno is the best up and comer for the year.

19Just wanted to say one more thing...

27Since I voted Shia in another poll I had to vote for Michael Cera in this one. Love them!
28i love Michael Cera and Shia LaBeouf
29Michael Cera is very cute!!!
30i think shia labeouf has the best acting abilities out of this group.
31Isn't Ellen Page in the X-Men movies? She's the one that can walk through walls. So shouldn't they be listed??? Just wondering...I could be wrong.
I picked Michael Cera...he's so adorable and so talented.
32Oh Ellen Page was in Hard Candy as well...good movie
33i don't get it--do i have to be 10 years old to understand how exactly zac ephron is hot? he's only marginally male.
34agree with you ultress =) just don't get it, at all!
35but shia IS charming.. i wont say hot.. but he definitely deserves my vote!
Shia Labeouf
36shia!
37Michael Cera for sure! Superbad was super awesome! (Haven't seen Juno yet but plan to!)
38George Michael Bluth is my other boyfriend
