As we reflect on the year's best everything, I'm dragging out all of the CDs that are likely to make my best of 2007 list, including Armchair Apocrypha by Andrew Bird. In addition to being the most handsome and sharply dressed multi-instrumentalist of 2007, Bird makes some of the most surprisingly danceable music around, despite the fact that violin is one of his primary instruments.

That fact hasn't gone unnoticed by the electronica wizards behind Four Tet, who remixed Bird's "Imitosis" to very fun effect. It's a must-listen if you're a Bird fan, or if you just want a little something to get you shakin' in your seat, so read more

To hear Imitosis and other songs at their most basic, he recently played a 4-song in-studio session for Faith Salie's Fair Game radio show. You can still listen to and download the songs on her site, or at mine (popdrivel.blogspot.com).
1I love Andrew Bird. Why can't there be more pictures of actually talented individuals such as mr. bird on this site, instead of no-talent clowns like britney-gossip-girl-bimbos?
Come on sugar, he's my idea of manjoyment.
2Yessss, I LOVE Andrew Bird! Armchair is a wonderful album and a great followup to his previous wonders. I've never heard an Andrew Bird song I didn't like...
