Think quick: Where were you when ER premiered in 1994? The show launched the career of Noah Wyle, made George Clooney a household name, and outlasted its fellow 1994 premieres Chicago Hope, Party of Five, and Friends. Tonight, ER reaches a milestone that few series ever do: its 300th episode.
I loved the show all through my high school years and into college, but when the original cast started to dwindle, I drifted away, too. Still, I've had a blast playing with this interactive timeline of all of the doctors on the show and reminiscing about the various guest appearances (remember Kirsten Dunst as a teen prostitute?). It may not be as relevant, as watched, or as high-profile as it was a few years back, but ER must be doing something right to make it this far.

I didn't watch in the early years, but I've been watching religiously for the past few years. I LOVE this show!!
1I also didn't watch it in the beginning but have been watching it religiously for years. But i did catch up on all the season's through dvd and the re-runs on TNT. I love this show and am curious to see what is going to happen with Abby.
2I loved it when it started-I was in college- Nursing degree-so it was obviously a hot topic the next day in classes. George was a big draw for me- duh!
3I really tried to keep up with it for several years and still might catch it if I am bored, but once the originals started leaving (especially George, Julianna, and Noah Wiley) I was done.
The chemistry between the originals was great. Honestly a great show and fantastic it is still around. Glad to see some people still watching it!
I really can see how it's lasted so long but I have a feeling Grey's may not make it at the rate it is going. Love it- but I am going to get bored soon!
on thursday nights, people know:
4don't call me or bug me during er.
i call my bff and we set with the phones up to our ears.
we say nothing until commercials.
exceptions... oh my gawd..... no!!...{{tears}}
can't wait for tonight~
I haven't kept up with ER over the years, but to make it to 300--that's quite an accomplishment! Think I'll have to watch that episode for sure.
5ER is great! I love that show and John Stamos...so cute!
6It needed to end about 200 ago.
7I've been watching since Day 1.
8I'm a huge ER fan... but I don't think it'll ever be as good as it was during the first 6 or 7 seasons. I just hope that they give it a great series finale, it certainly deserves it.
9I am still a huge ER fan, but I agree, it's not been the powerhouse it used to be. I still watch faithfully every week though (although now I usually DVR it), and I will until the end. I miss Dr. Green, though! Cried like a baby when he died. Still, love the show. I didn't like Archie much at first, but he's grown on me. Loved the episode when he was "tempted" by all the beautiful women.
10I was just thinking about this recently: How do they stay on tv and keep viewers watching?
I stopped watching when nurse hathaway left. Doug + carol forever.
11i use to love it to
12way back when
It used to be good, but after most of the regulars left or died, well it lost it's edge. Seasons 1-6 were the best.

14I agree with you, Buzz! I watched it in the beginning when it was the original cast back in college (and Noah Wylie's sister was in my hip-hop class!) I stopped watching when Dr. Greene died. Can't believe they're at the 300th episode. I'm sure it's still an excellent show but it's just not the same with the originals.
15Liss, I watch the TNT reruns too and I fell in love. I cried when Mark died and when Noah left, sad times.
16And all the people who said that ER lost it's edge since most of the regulars left obviously haven't been watching it. It's still great, and has tons of twists and turns and Luka is a total cutie. I love all of the different characters and even though I miss the ones who have left, I'm still so into it.
Doug&Carol forever!
17I loved the old ER... Doug, Carol, Mark Greene (I was crying so much when he died), Susan(why couldn't she have a happy ending with Mark? They were meant for each other!), Carter!!!, Peter Benton, Romano, Jeanie... I stopped watching when Mark died - end of Season 8. And I'm not interested anymore to be honest.
