Instead, Angelina Jolie is in talks to play real-life intelligence operative Kathi Lynn Austin, a contractor for the U.N. Security Council. Austin has had "adventures in arms trafficking and terrorism" in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America.
The story will be this:
According to Variety, "The drama will focus on a fictional arms dealer inspired by Victor Bout, the shadowy Russian who is considered one of the world's most prolific dealers in illegal munitions."
What's this about Bourne, then?
Jolie's manager Geyer Kosinski came up with this idea after searching for "a premise that's rooted in reality and has franchise potential." The hope is that this movie will become like the Bourne series — but with a lady.

I realize I am probably so alone on this, but I am over Angelina! She is not a very good actress. But, with that said, she is definitely at home in the action genre so I'm sure this will be fine (I just won't be seeing it).
1Lizzard you aren't she really needs to try out another genre, like really. Hasn't she done enough of these yet? But since they are her best successes since she her serious acting fares flop maybe she shouldn't ruin a good thing.

6I too am a little tired of Angelina the actress. She plays one note, ultra sexy. It's either sexy crazy person or sexy assassin. I laughed out loud at the trailer for her new movie. The one with all the slow-motion gun escapades.

I like how she doesn't the same ol' predictable, boring romantic comedies like so many other actresses these days.

And people who say she's not a good actress clearly haven't seen many of her films. Yes, sometimes she is lazy with her choice of roles (Alexander, anyone? *shudders*) but when she get's it right, there aren't many better actresses around today.

18Not many women can play the bad ass roles. Angelina just rocks at them. She has branched and done other types of roles: A Might Heart, The Good Shepard, Shark Tales, Beyond Borders, ....
