This year's Winter TV shows and their Spring counterparts held so much promise, and yet it seems like many of them are struggling to find their footing in the ratings. While I'm still checking in on Castle, sticking things out with Parks and Recreation, and curious about the fate of Dollhouse, finding room to devote to the new shows just feels like work. Already, I have a backlog of The Unusuals and Southland starting to build on my DVR. That said, there have been quite a few midseason TV series over the years that I've fallen for, so I decided to take a look at the shows that won me over despite their non-traditional premiere dates.
