The full-length trailer for Valkyrie can't be very far off, since it was shown before my screening of Lions for Lambs this week, but for now we can get a glimpse at the making of the movie, complete with commentary by Kenneth Branagh (who has a role in the film) and writer/producer Christopher McQuarrie. While it seems a little cart-before-the-horse to me, the featurette is actually pretty interesting and successfully piques my interest in this film. So, mission accomplished, featurette.
Valkyrie is a thriller in which German generals scheme to assassinate Hitler at the height of WWII. Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Superman Returns) directs and Tom Cruise stars, along with Bill Nighy and Eddie Izzard. To check out the featurette, read more

Tiny Tom look ridiculous in that picture
1another flop
2Hail Xenu
I was excited, then I saw the Summer '08 release date. I was hoping it came out sooner! Oh well. =)
3I think this is going to be a great movie, and if people skip it only because of Tom, that is their loss.
There are SO MANY brilliant actors in the film, plus Bryan Singer is a great director who knows how to do the character driven indy film (Usual Suspects, Apt Pupil), and the big action filled blockbusters (X Men 1 and 2, SUperman Returns). I think the story sounds really exciting and dramatic, and think this could be the perfect blend of Bryan's skills with big and small films.
4Thanks for posting this, Buzz. Looking forward to summer 2008 and to seeing this one.
5I didn't realize that Kenneth Brannagh was in it! Now I might actually go see it.
6It also has Bill Nighy in it, who is an amazing actor (Pirates of the Carib., Notes On a Scandal, etc.)
7This looks great minus Tom... so I would definitely go see it despite him
8I didn't know Kenneth Branagh was in this movie! That man can do no wrong!
9That looks great! I can see why they used Tom.... his profile DOES look similar to one of the generals.
Hope it'll come out on open captioning when it comes out in my area!
10I still don't see the big resemblance between Tom Cruise and Stauffenberg that people keep talking about. There's a tiny resemblance in that one picture of Stauffenberg, but in the others I don't see it at all. And it's not because Stauffenberg was tall...
11This looks like a great film.
12Although I saw a clip a little while ago and Tom was talking with an American accent. I hope that isn't the case in the movie!
Looking forward to seeing it.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ONE ALSO.
TOM CRUISE TURNS EVERYTHING INTO GOLD. HE'S THE MOST EXCITING ACTOR OF OUR TIME BY FAR.
