It happens every fall: All the new series premiere, and I get overly ambitious, loading up my TiVo with any new show that sounds remotely interesting. But six weeks into the TV season, the truth is settling in: I'm never going to get around to watching some of these series.
So I'm wondering, Buzz readers: What shows have earned a permanent spot on your "must watch" list — and which have you dropped like hot potatoes since the start of the season? Do you love any shows you thought you'd hate? Do you hate any shows you thought you'd love? And did you have to let go of any old favorites to make a space for up-and-comers on your viewing schedule?

I'm still watching "Dirty, Sexy, Money". If I have nothing else to do I'll watch "Private Practice" but I'm not really committed to it.
1Pushing Daisies is my new favorite, it's just a pretty show to watch. Prison Break got pushed aside so I can watch Chuck. Thats about it with the new shows.
2I thought I'd like Private Practice, but I almost fell asleep watching it. So cheesy.
I stopped watching Chuck, but I still occasionally watch Gossip Girl.
I had to let go of Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls, thus only Heroes remains on my must watch list (as does Grey's Anatomy...even if it has become boring).
3I love Pushing Daisies!!! That, along with Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy are my only commitments.
4The only shows I absolutely CANNOT miss are The Hills and Supernatural!
5Samantha Who? and Pushing Daisies are my two new favorites this season. I catch Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Monday on the weekends - i love online viewing!
6Gossip Girl was predicted as an addiction and it has retained its spot. I didn't expect to love Reaper as much as I do, but it's hilarious. Also, Aliens in America is really entertaining.
I was all set to love Chuck and Private Practice, but neither one made me fall in love. I'll still catch PP on occasion (I didn't cancel my TiVo season pass, just in case), but it's deleted more than its viewed. I keep up with it via Buzz's run downs, and it doesn't seem like I'm missing much.
7Pushing Daisies is a new favorite, along with SNL and The Office.
8I love Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Reaper, and Gossip Girl! I'm still watching Dirty Sexy Money and all my old regulars (Heroes, Grey's, Nip/Tuck, Office, It's Always Sunny), but while I'm still Tivoing Journeyman and Private Practice, I have about 4 episodes of each piling up. I don't know if I'll ever get around to watching them...
9My only musts are: Brothers & Sisters, Heroes, ANTM, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, Gossip Girl, Pushing Daisies, and HIMYM. If I miss one, I catch it online.
10The only new one that I've watched every show is Samantha Who?
11Dirty. Sexy. Money, Pushing Daisies & Gossip Girl!!! are my top 3. i love them!!!!
12I'm following: Heroes, Prison Break, How I met your mother, The Big Bang Theory (because I'm weak and I can't never drop a show even if it gets boring), Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Gossip Girl, Scrubs, Ugly Betty, Numb3rs and Desperate Housewives.
I'm waiting for One Tree Hill and 24 to start.
And I'm currently catchning up on Grey's Anatomy and That 70's Show
Well they cancelled Veronica Mars, The OC, Daybreak and Studio 60, I had to fill the gaps...
13Pushing Daisies is the only new show I make sure not to miss. Sometimes I watch Big Bang Theory but only because its on after How I Met Your Mother and sometimes I feel like being lazy for another half hour.
14In terms of the new shows private practice and gossip girl have kept my interest. i have all of dirty sexy money on my dvr for a rainy day.
15I think I have a tv problem. I've added the whole Wednesday ABC lineup to my repertoire- Pushing Daisies, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money. I also tivo Bionic Woman.
16pushing daisies!! I'll watch dirty, sexy, money if I'm being lazy, but i won't make time for it...
17Love, love, love Pushing Daisies. Loved Chuck at first...now it's getting tiresome. Loved Reaper...got tired of it...but last week's episode gave me a little something new. If it doesn't return to the same old same old I'll stick with it. Completely over Heroes. Was sooooo excited about Bionic Woman with the previews all summer, watched the pilot episode, was still up--but two more weeks in, and I'm done. Why'd they hire someone who looks and acts 16? We just started getting The Tudors in Canada--not sure why they felt the need to fictionalize most of the details of Henry VIII's pretty historically-accounted for reign. It's too painful watching it and yelling "But that never happened!"
So, Pushing Daisies, maybe Chuck, maybe Reaper...I'm holding out for 24 in January!
18Private Practice. I sometimes catch Gossip Girl on Sundays.
19I'm actually a little into Big Shots now, possibly simply because it's on after Grey's (which is a horrible decision on the network's half-wrong demographic!) The first episode was a little offensive in some respects, but after that I began enjoying it. Who knew?
20I tried a few new shows, but may actually end up watching less TV than last year, not more. Supernatural remains my only "appointment television" this year, and I have been downloading Bones every week since I invariably seem to miss it when it's airing. Friday Night Lights was on my must-see television list last year, but I'm currently taking a break from it until the idiotic murder plot resolves itself, and possibly the experimental surgery plot too. I miss Coach and Mrs. Coach like crazy, but the direction the rest of the show is going is annoying the living hell out of me.
Of the new shows, my nephew really likes Bionic Woman and I sit in the room with him while he's watching and basically just look up whenever I hear Katee Sackhoff's voice. She's the best (and practically the only good) thing about that show. Hopefully the networks will take note and give her a show of her own after Battlestar Galactica is over. I might try to get into Pushing Daisies, since a lot of my friends still seem to be enjoying it, but it sounds too twee for my taste, so I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it or not.
21I've stopped trying to watch new shows only to have them cancelled; I did that last year with Drive (I watched it because Nathan Fillion is hot!). Now I just stick to my two favorites: The Office and Bones.
22I'm still watching Private Practice and Gossip Girl with my old stuff (Prison Break, Heroes, House, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, The Hills and Brothers & Sisters).
I dropped Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money.
23Pushing Daisies...!!
24I love Pushing Daisies! I gave Back to You a try...only because I loved Frasier, but didn't really care for it.
25Carpoolers returns this week after a small hiatus so I am excited about that! Pushing Daisies is rising on my list of new favorites while I have grown to hate Moonlight (a show for which I had very high hopes). Dirty, Sexy Money is something I am excited about catching up with online!
26I LOVE Samantha Who? Applegate really does her thing!
27I am LOVING Pushing Daisies! I didn't expect to like Dirty Sexy Money but it gets better every week! Unfortunately I have been sucked in by way too many shows! Samantha Who is really cute so far too!
28I'm still watching everything I tried. Of the new ones, I watch Chuck (online, though), Reaper, Gossip Girl, Samantha Who? and Aliens in America (also only online). Too much good stuff on Mondays
29I am watching Brothers and Sisters(is it my imagination or is this season even better?) Desp Housewives, Greys and my newest addition/obessession GOSSIP GIRL! I love love that show! I started to watch Samantha who, pretty good but I dont have much time so I watch it online while I work out now...
30Pushing Daisies! I cant miss an episode of it! Also, ugly betty, the office, and scrubs!
31New shows: Gossip Girl, Dirty Sexy Money, Samantha Who and sometimes Big Shots. Also, why does Tuesday night TV sucks so bad when other nights have too many options!?!
32I'm watching (and loving) Dirty Sexy Money and Samantha Who ?. I'm also still catching Private Practice, but I'm not totally sold yet...
33I gave up on Chuck after the 2nd episode.
I'm still watching Pushing Daisies, Kid Nation, Heroes, How I Met Tour Mother and Life is Wild. I'm not sure if that last one counts as "watching" as I just keep it on in the background and just turn my head when Calvin Goldspink's on. Those are the only shows I started watching anyway so I haven't dropped any. YET.
On my still watching list should also be The-N's South of Nowhere but it's on a break. :/
34gossip girl,chuck, samantha who, without a trace
35(online all) and maybe dvd's afterwards!
The new shows that are on my "don't miss, you must watch as they record" are Chuck (LOVE!! Chuck), Moonlight, and Samantha Who?...
The new shows that I record, though I might wait until later to watch are The Big Bang Theory, Private Practice (almost got dropped, but it's getting better!), Bionic Woman, Pushing Daisies, Flash Gordon, Californication, and Hotel Babylon.
New shows I've recorded, but haven't watched and are about to be deleted are Journeyman (actually watched first two eps), Reaper (watched first two eps), Life and Torchwood
Older shows I've dropped: Heroes (recorded but not watched)
Can't wait til they return: Battlestar Galactica & Lost
Older shows I'm still watching: Blood Ties (#1 favorite show!), Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty
All in All... it feels like I'm watching less TV than I did last year - and especially less than I did over the summer! I miss Burn Notice, Robin Hood and The Closer.
36'Heroes' and 'Ugly Betty' are my two big shows to watch. I gave 'Pushing Daisies' a shot, but I grew tired of it after the second episode. And because 'Grey's Anatomy' follows 'Ugly Betty,' I'll watch it, but maybe with less vim and vinegar. Sometimes I'll go back and forth between 'Grey's' and 'The Office.'
And I stopped watching 'ANTM' because I'm so over the second-rate models/first-rate drama queens.
37i really thought i'd hate pushing daisies, but i love it. as a design student i really appreciate the costumes, the story telling style and the whole feeling of retro high-class story.
loving gossip girl, it came out just the way i thought it would. i loved OC and love GG.
chuck is also great, but i would not cry if someone made me stop watching it
but
it's only because Miss Bilson has not made her appearence yet. I love her.
i also watch private practice and love it. it's light. would not stop watching it.
i love love love moonlight. vampire love story, yum! and the last episode was even more deliciuos.
dirty sexy money - love the rich sick stories. but it came out more sincere and honest and kind then i though it would. people are too nice there. but i love the quality of the show.
i dropped tell me you love me, as it is way to boring. yes, it's good, it's really good. but i am way too young for that. and when i get to the age when this kind of things matter to me - i don't think i want to see that. i know people are going through stuff like that and i don't need a weekly reminder.
back to you - i dropped it after pilot. just too dull, like 30 rocks (which i was watching when there's nothing else, and now my schedule is filled so i dropped it). i like smart and hidden comedy like House M.D.
oh, samantha who surprised me - i thought it would be usual Christina's crap, but it's lovely! very good.
reaper is OK. i watch it if I have the time.
journeyman seems allright, and i would have continued wayching it after pilot, but i don't have the time (as I am watching more than 25 shows at the moment). so my priority for this show was lower.
big shots - also OK. but the same story as with journey man, not good enough to dump another show for it.
californication is interesting. in a weird way. watched the whole season. will come back to it next year.
bionic woman got dropped from my must watch list. something is missing from this show. and i really hated the titles (not that it made me drop it).
big bang theory - after watching the pilot it just appeared stupid and skittish.
a loved k-ville, but don't have the time for it. i liked it, cause it shows something undiscoevered to me. i didn't know much about New Orleans after Katrina... so it was educational.
i guess that's it
oh, and i watch it online. never on life tv (i don't even own it) and i live in UK.
38Samantha Who?, Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, and BIG SHOTS.
39I LOVE Dirty Sexy Money and Big Shots. I really do hope Big Shots doesn't get canceled because I LOOOOOVE that show, I just think it needs to be moved to a different day.
I'm still loving Grey's and The Office, although I have to record one of them (usually Grey's these days) since they're on against each other.
I also still love How I Met Your Mother and that new show, The Big Bang Theory, is pretty funny too.
Private Practice is growing on me just a LITTLE too...I haven't given up on it yet.
40Pushing Daisies and Gossip Girl are the only ones I've added to my routine.
41New Show: Gossip Girl
New Show to me: Ugly Betty
Can't Miss: Friday Night Lights
Old Faves: Prison Break, The Hills, Law and Order: SVU, ANTM, Grey's Anatomy
My DVR list is filled up!
42Monday: Chuck! , Two and A Half Men, The Hills
43Wednesday: Pushing Daisies, and Gossip Girl!
Thursday: Ugly Betty
I'm still watching Chuck, Pushing Daisies, and Dirty Sexy Money. I stopped watching Private Practice after the first episode because of a scheduling conflict, but I'll be happy to pick it right back up once it goes on DVD next year. (Sadly, those episodes on the 'net don't work for me.
)
44I'm still watching Reaper, Gossip Girl, Moonlight and Chuck.
My old faves are too many to mention but very few double bookings this year which is always a plus.
I tried Journeyman at the pilot and just didn't like it. The whole idea was better done in Quantum leap years ago. I was looking forward to New Amsterdam though...whatever happened to that? Fox promoted and then..nada.
45I've added gossip girl(love it), dirty sexy money(love it), samantha who?(funny!), and sometimes private practice(not that great) online while i do my homework or something...
i'm stillll watching the hills, antm(getting kind of old), desperates, grey's, and nip/tuck(loveeeeee).
i miss episodes a lot, so i just catch them online whenever.
i think i watch too much tv.
46I love Samantha Who and Gossip Girl. I am definitely happy that Samantha Who was picked up for the season. I have only been able to catch the pilot episode of Pushing Daisies but from what I saw it is definitely charming and well worth watching.
47Tooooooooo much TV watchin' going on in my house.
At the top so the list are Dirty Sexy Money, Samantha Who and Women's Murder Club (LOVE.LOVE.LOVE.).
Next are Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice for the pretty-man factor.
Then Hills and Gossip Girl for the "man, I wish was still a punk-brat youngin'" factor.
Unwatched DVRed Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Brothers & Sisters.
I've completely dropped Lost and Prison Break.
I miss Gilmore Girls.
Oh, and my secret obsession....Cops...I know...horrific...
48Pushing Daisies & Gossip Girl are the only two NEW shows I am still watching!
49I can't believe no one has mentioned House! I love that show! Also, Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman (mostly because they shoot in my hometown so it's fun that way), Ugly Betty, CSI, CSI: NY, Law and Order: SVU, Pushing Daisies, and Gossip Girl. If I have time I'll also catch Grey's Anatomy (though I'm pretty much losing interest), and Without A Trace (yep, I love my police procedurals, hehe).
