Remember the first time you saw Jordan Catalano through Angela Chase's eyes? The way he was always squinting, and leaning, and being so effortlessly gorgeous? I remember exactly where I was the first time I watched My So-Called Life and feeling that all of the show's little moments — Angela's red hair, Jordan's sexy leaning, the whispered "go, now! go!" — were meant especially for me.
So to celebrate today's release of the complete series on DVD, I've got a couple of vintage MSCL clips for you. I can't be the only one who gets a little teary watching these, right?

I remember watching this show faithfully years ago and feeling every ounce of Angela's pain when it came to Jordan. I think we've all known at least one guy in school that just seemed to be perfect and he knew it and tortured us with it every day. How silly school was, ya know? Although, sometimes I miss those intense butterflies you only got when you were that young and unsure.
1Awww, it was such a great show.. That scene with Jordan holding Angela's hand in the hallway still makes me swoon.
2What in the world is Claire Danes talking about in her interview clip? It was rambling and going nowhere sloooowly, right? Lol.

7briggs — there was a DVD set put out several years ago, but it didn't have any special features (and, unfortunately, was a LOT more expensive than this one)

12A truly amazing show! Who would ever forget Angela Chase and Jordan Catalano...impossible! I adored MSCL when I was a kid, it captured the reality so well and in some aspect we all had a little bit of Angela in ourselves. I was so disappointed when it was cancelled but I guess I'll compensate that in a way with this DVD set

17This was my show in 1994. I was a junior in high school and could relate to EVERYTHING that Angela was going through.
I was obsessed with Claire Danes, she was my favorite actress for years and years. And Jared Leto was too hot for words.
I still miss it, it was one of the greatest teen dramas I can remember watching.
18This was the BEST show ever! I watched it during my freshman year in hs. My friends and I were so sad when it was cancelled. We were never the same after that. I remember Jordan Catalano was so cute and the boiler room episode was my favorite! We laughed at all the times the characters said "like... like... like." That was too much. I'm from California and we didn't even say it that much.
