As with so many top whatever lists, this one, put together by the editors at Vanity Fair, has some that I completely agree with and others that leave me scratching my head. The Big Chill is a good one, as is Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction. But I'm surprised Magnolia's not on here, and I would think Forrest Gump might get a spot, too.

what's up with everyone lovin the Garden State soundtrack? Is it really as great as everyone says it is? If so, i might have to check it out. But as someone said, i'm not really a soundtrack kinda gal!
Anyway, Purple Rain TOTALLY deserves its number 1 spot. I have that album on vinyl, cd AND tape. The movie itself is very campy with terrible acting but it's the type of acting that's so bad, it's good!
That soundtrack isn't even really a soundtrack - it's an amazing album by an incredible genius at the peak of his abilities. Sigh...i LOVE that album. LOL...can you tell i love that album?
