Hope you're ready for more of the Oceanside Wellness treatment: Private Practice has been picked up for a full season. The CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory will also be with us at least through the spring.
They join Gossip Girl as the only new series to get full-season pickups so far. Networks typically only order 13 episodes of a new show so they can see how it does before promising it a time slot for a whole season. CBS also filled out a full-season order for third-year show The Unit.
Both Big Bang and Private Practice have made their mark on the ratings: Practice has gotten about 12 million viewers each week since its premiere and is the No. 1 new show among adults 18-49, while Big Bang has gotten more than 8 million viewers each week and consistently does better than its lead-in, How I Met Your Mother.
Do you think those shows have enough steam to stick around for a full year?

I consistently laugh out loud while watching the Big Bang Theory. I am glad it's sticking around. I am sad, however, that is does better than HIMYM.
4I'm with bfly1133...I am laughing out loud at Big Bang Theory. It is really a sweet funny comedy that I think could be around for the long haul.

6I don't watch Private Practice, but I always catch the last few minutes it before watching Dirty Sexy Money (which is an awesome show and deserves to be picked up for a whole season), but what I do see and then the previews of next week never look very interesting or exciting. I'm surprised it's getting so many viewers!
7I'm surprised too. Private Practice? It had tons of pre-premiere buzz, but seriously? I think that Kate Walsh lady is boring as can be.
8Private Practice is definitely not my favorite new show, but I'm not surprised that it's getting a full season. Hopefully, that will be its first and last.

10I don't want to say I don't like Private Practice because I do watch it but I find it very boring. VERY boring! It is definately a show that if I miss it for a week I won't be upset. As far as the new shows go, Dirty Sexy Money and Gossip Girl are awesome!!
11I'm so glad, I love BBT. It's sad HIMYM doesn't do better though, that's still my favorite show on Monday nights!

15U kno wats funny. I never got into greys anatomy ever. I watched private practice without any knowlege of their history and I liked it now its onto renting the first three seasons of greys to see the history

20I started with Bang b/c it was on after How I Met... but I actually like it alot now.
21Private practice is enjoyable. Besides the office boy has a crush on Addisons best friend, who is definitely older than him. That alone is fun to watch.
22I just love this show. Have you seen Addison in her new Cadillac commercial. She talks about turning the car on, and how it should do the same for you. Can't wait to see it tommorrow. Missed not having it on last week.
23I don't watch much tv unfortunately..just the hills to be honest. i do LOVE the big bang theory..it is laugh out loud funny and i make an effort to watch that. i wish it was able to be watched online though.
