Didn't get tickets to see Legally Blonde: The Musical in the theaters? Don't worry — a version of the Broadway show hits MTV today. The special includes a filmed version of the Sept. 18 New York stage performance of the musical and a "pink carpet" hosted by Lauren, Whitney and Audrina of "The Hills."
A lot of you seemed open to the idea of making movies into musicals, but you cautioned that it will only work with certain movies. Will Legally Blonde be one of them? And will "The Hills" girls add a necessary dose of sass? Check out the special, which airs starting at 1 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, and then let me know. I think the spirit of this show is a little off from the movie. This seems to present the idea that it's better to be externally beautiful than have a depth of character. But I have to admit, 'Omigod You Guys' is a funny song.

6I saw it today on MTV and actually really liked it (I was totally prepared not to) I really loved the portrayal of Paulette and the UPS guy.
7I watched today also. I liked the movie but did not like the play. The actors were annoying.
8I've seen it twice on Broadway. It's a great show with tons of energy. The music, scenery, and the cast are all phenomenal.

10I think the musical was entertaining but nothing groundbreaking. What drove me crazy though was Whitney's presentation of things back stage. Even though I was interested in the content, I had to fast forward due to her delivery.
11I watched about 1/2 an hour of it and it blew. Horribly cliche and wasnt 1/100th as entertaining as the movie. The songs were typically high school drama overacted, and the leads were sickly sweet and annoying.
12OMG, I loved this musical! It was so great. I bought the CD and I now know all the words to every song!
