I used to DESPISE her and nearly broke my TV every time she came on. That was when I was a child.

I really just dont think shes a good actress. It seems like she does the exact same thing in every movie.

With the right script, she'll do well. However - she needs to realize that it will be very hard to break the disney stereotype she's in. I like her.

Ok...she's great i loved The Perfect Man...and Cinderella Story but i have to say that she always acts the same! i don't think she's that really great actress...just good. I'm still going to see the movie but i don't think she's a serious actress....that's my opinion...

She's not the best actress but I liked her in Lizzie McGuire. Although I will say she is a better actress than singer.

I think she is a decent actress. She is only talented enough to play in those young girls and teen movies. Lindsay Lohan is much more talented at acting than Hilary.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I like A Cinderella Story. *hides* She's really grown up in the musical aspect, so why not in the movie aspect? She has potential, I think.

Sometimes... people need to stick to what they are doing... Sometimes they just need to quit doing it. I can't take a single thing that she does seriously. Not the music, not the acting... nothing.

i'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think this'll be a great transition for her. Her young fans when she was younger/at the same age as her are growing up, like she is, so its only natural to want to venture onto other projects that enter adulthood.

She's always played the same roles: goody-goody nice girl.

I think if she's given a chance and the right script, she could be a wonderful actress.

I think she is garbage, and I don't understand why anyone would cast her when there are so many really talented actors out there.
She is just handed opportunities b/c of her insane fan base.

check out her newest album if you're looking for a newer more mature sound. The song Stranger is really good, and a lot more mature [about her ex, new baby daddy Joel Madden]. So is Danger [i know.. it rhymes], and a couple other ones.

She doesn't really carry the Lizzie McGuire thing about her as much anymore. The brown hair helps take away that image too. makes her look more grown up. If given more opportunities to play more mature and complex rolls I think she could handle it really well.

i agree with flickster it is true her album is amazing and she is much more mature in it than before so i think she's gonna be more mature in her new movie .

i think she sucks as an actress... they hated her in lizzie mcguirre. they had to send her to acting lessons cuz she was soooo extremely baddddd. lol. and her shoulders are always up... ugh. lol. i love how she seings but her posture and her acting, NO NO NO NO
