I was totally bummed when I saw that "Friday Night Lights" wasn't returning till October, so imagine my joy when I learned that I don't have to wait after all: The full episode is streaming right now on Yahoo! TV. The episode is only online till Sunday, so I'll have to decide pretty quickly if I need to watch now or if I can hold out for the official premiere.
Meanwhile, for those of you still on the fence about the show, check out this column from Bill Simmons, a writer for ESPN. Sure, his normal domain is sports and not television, but when someone says "If you like to watch TV, you wouldn't knowingly turn your back on a great show" and then calls the series "the best date show ever," I certainly take notice.
Meanwhile, if you're still looking for pilots online, "Chuck" can be seen on Yahoo! TV, "The Big Bang Theory" is on Yahoo! and on iTunes, and "Life" is on AOL TV. Enjoy!

Bill Simmon's column is great, a must read for fans and for all who haven't yet seen the show. FNL is simply the best! I face the same dilemma, Buzz--watch now or watch later. Think I'll do both! Thanks for the heads up on this one.
1i loved *almost* the entire show.
2save the tyra storyline at the end...eek.
I love this show! I didn't watch it last year but caught up online over the summer. It's one of my fav new shows.
I'm waiting to watch. I know if I watch it now I won't want to wait another 4 weeks to see the second episode
3Am I a loser because it made me cry?
4haha, mfern, I cry during every single episode. so no!
5BEST. SHOW. ON. TV!
6I'm with whiskeyrogue - fantastic episode overall, but I *really* didn't like the Tyra bit at the end either. I hope they resolve it quickly and more in character than I felt that was. That said, Adrianne Palicki is just getting better and better as an actress, so props to her for doing so well with it.
7Just watched it and it seemed a little too over the top to me, like they are trying to rein in new viewers by having tons of melodrama. Not sure Im on board with that, but I will say that Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton rock my world. They are such great actors and I love their characters' relationship.
8I watched this on Friday and I left work early to do so
Seriously, the best drama on
TV that should be watched and sadly isn't. Connie Britton is AWESOME. She amazes me every episode. I cried, too, and if that makes me a dork then I'm gladly a dork!
I agree that the Tyra/Landry storyline is overdramatic when FNL excels at keeping their characters and situations very honest and real. But JP and AP knocked it out of the park, acting wise, I thought.
I can't wait for it to be back!
