If you've been waiting all summer to see how Josh Schwartz does with the steamy, soapy "Gossip Girl," wait no more! The first episode of the show is being offered free right now on the iTunes Music Store. The show premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m., but why wait? If you download it, be sure to come back here and tell me what you think.
A number of other networks have also made selected pilots available for free, so for good measure, here's a list of what's out and how to find it:
- All four of NBC's pilots are available On Demand through many cable providers and can be downloaded through Amazon's Unbox service. All but "Bionic Woman" also can be rented at Blockbuster. "Chuck" is now online at Yahoo! TV.
- If you fly on American Airlines this month, you'll get a chance to watch the pilots for CBS' "Cane" and "The Big Bang Theory."
- Fox is streaming "Nashville" online ahead of its premiere tonight.
In the next week or two, I'm sure more shows will become available early for free. If you find one, let me know and I'll add it to this list!

3Buzz- I downloaded Bionic Woman off of Amazon Unbox...is it not available any longer? I downloaded 4 NBC pilots- Bionic Woman, Chuck, Life, and Journeyman, but I haven't watched any yet.
For some reason seeing pilots early sorta steals the charm for me. I'm watching the NBC ones because they were there, but I'll just wait till Wednesday for Gossip Girl. I already set my TiVo

6I can't wait to see it. I have not read the Gossip Girls series but I have read The It Girl and Notroious which follow the character Jenny from the Gossip Girl sereis. I have already noticed one difference from the books, the girl plays Jenny has blonde hair but in the books her hair is brown.
7I just finished watching the show and am hooked! I was not familiar with the books, but the plot and wardrobe were fantastic. I was so bummed losing the OC but to be honest this pilot was even better than the first episode of my old fav! Love it, two thumbs up!
8I think that Geek Sugar should do a quiz on this show, how many shots of phones were there!!! I thought it was a wireless ad! Anyway, nice shots of Manhattan and the bridges. I didn't even know of the books, but man that is a lot of drama for one episode.

Ive been waiting with bated breath for this show!!
loved the show, my only qualm is the voice over of "gossip girl." kinda cheesy. it's distracting and not neccessary. kind of like carrie bradshaw breaking the fourth wall in the first several episodes of sex and the city (looking into the camera and talking directly to the audience).. not such a wonderful thing. hopefully they get rid of the voice over after a couple of episodes, or find some way to make the voice sound less irksome. maybe they'll get rid of it by the time the show actually airs. other than that, plot-wise and character-wise, it was wonderful.
11GG only gives me a 30 sec clip on itunes...its supposed to be 42 mins....????? confused, i wanna watch it!
12OH and ps metallic...they're not getting rid of the voice-over anytime soon!...if you read the books you'll understand why its there.
13i just watched this show. i am so sick of shows about rich kids: so boring! i thought this show was so cliche and just really badly written: the dialogue! oh my god...it reminds me of the 6th season of Gilmore Girls when they were trying to make Rory a bad girl. gah. how disappointing.

20I just watched it. I liked it well enough to TIVO it a few more times at least. I'm not familiar with the books either. I'm sad about some of the shows that disappeared after last season, so I'm hoping this show will be a bright spot in the new Fall line-up.
21I liked Dan too! He's so sweet to his little sister, which is endearing, considering they make most teenage boy characters self-absorbed.

23I loved it! And DAn (Penn something) is really cute! I read the books more than a few years ago but I remember the characters being a little different. but i am definitly hooked and cannot wait to see more!
24You guys, what a bummer — I think iTunes took it down already. I got it through the link yesterday but today I'm getting the same message as the rest of you, and my direct search isn't turning it up either. How strange! It might be worth trying back later this weekend though. I don't think it got on there accidentally, because iTunes was promoting it with a big logo yesterday.
25So excited to see it! I have been waiting for another good series since the OC...hope I will like this one!
26Eh, I watched it and it didn't really grab me. I think the characters are good looking, but especially the characters of "Nathan" and the dad are too Ken-doll-soap-opera looking. They are like wood with their acting too. Also, I was disappointed that the music for this episode wasn't better, there were some good Air songs, but other than that...typical fare. Overall, I could take it or leave it. The characters just don't matter to me.
27oh, and there were several scenes in which I could think of NO REASON WHATSOEVER for them, except to show off more clothing. For example, the purple dress scene with Blair & her mom.
28Alright, I haven't downloaded it yet but I've read the books and this show is gonna be on fire if they stick to them and the actors don't suck. For what I can see, they don't seem bad. This is quite possibly the next big thing.

It showed a sneak peak into the relationship that Blair and her mom. I did not read the books, but they kept implying that Blair's mom's primary agenda is to have her daughter "advertise" her clothing, while Blair needs a mother to nurture her.
30I never read the books, but had downloaded the pilot of Gossip girl from itunes, just got to watch... & I am hooked. problem show starts tommorow & I have to wait till next week to find out what happens next.
