Blair to Vanessa: "What would they think if they found out you really are a star f----r." BRILLIANT, Gossip Girl. SO good.

I am glad HilDuff is leaving, because even though I love her, I can't get her other characters out of my mind..... Gordo would NOT be ok with Lizzie McGuire kissing Vanessa and her Cowardly Lion hair.

I thought Jenny looked pretty last night. She toned down the eye makeup and looks good for once.
I love Blair she makes the show.
I can see Dan starting to think about whether or not he may have feelings for Vanessa nad I really don't want that to happen.
I would like the writers to give Serena a better role. Ever since she ended things with the good wholesome Dan she has been dating trouble or getting into trouble.

care, she was exactly that way before Dan, just goes to show she's more of a sad chameleon and not someone who has any idea what she wants or who she is.... she just adapts to the people she spends time with.

This was the best episode of so far. Thing are getting very exciting.

Loved this episode:
-I'm Chuck Bass. That must mean something, even in Europe (or something like that)
- Chuck rescuing his step sister. sweet.
- I heart Blair. she is so unapologetic about what she wants.
- Really, S? Although I hate myself for thinking Trip is really cute.

I thought this episode was weird...whenever they try to work in a stunt (a retro 80's flashback to promote a spin off that never comes to be, a lady gaggag performance), it kind of backfires and it feels like they ignore the main storylines.
I did like the steamy, dreamy close ups of olivia and vanessa, at the beginning while Dan was strutting down the street. I think it provided a some energizing, stylized production that the show could TOTALLY use a lot more of (I mean, could we Entouragize this program a bit, using more creative editing and shots?).
I couldn't tolerate the Tisch performances! They were all so unbareable, and it really made me think: if this is what the kids in this program are doing, no wonder GagGag got accepted by them in real life. The Snow White thing was soooo Saved By The Bell, and of course the Saved By The Bell episode with the rapping Dwarves was MUCH better--it even included two friends thinking they had feelings for each other because of a hot kiss in a play (Dan & Vanessa are totes Zack & Jessie, but not nearly as fun!).
I like the political love triangle, but Serena is seeming sooo desperate. First she's crazy about Carter, then she's interested in Trip (or whoever) seemingly just because he's interested in her, and when Nate confessed his feelings for her she seemed immediately ready to topple over for him. Why is this stunning blonde so lacking in a sense of self? I guess it goes with her also not sure what to do with her life and career and college, but it also makes it seem like the guy just doesn't matter, and it weakens the romances they're concocting.
Whatevz, at least it gave me a lot to say and analyze.
LOVE the new drug dealer guy. He's so cute, and I loved him in Transamerica. I'm so glad he's involved with my girl Jenny.

Two words: shoulder pads.

Good episode, but Serena was as annoying as ever.

Nice call on the Saved by the Bell comparison! And you're right, those plays were horrific as was Dan's writing.

And Serena is a tramp. No other way to say it. The line is blurred?! Umm unless they sign a divorce settlement that line is still married on one side tramp who sleeps with married politicians on the the other. And me and my sister thought the same things as you did billyart - Serena falls for everyone and anyone...if it has a pulse she will sleep with it apparently...as much as I hate her character, its actually a very good character. There are a lot of these stunning girls who have no self-worth because their entire lives people only consider them in terms of their looks and that kind of attention makes these girls insecure about what they are without it. So it is very believable that she turns into every guy she dates and dates every guy that's interested.

And Vanessa is still gross and obsessed with Dan, no matter what she says.

Does the b*tches of Eastwick movie mean that Olivia is gone?? Loved that Chuck came to Jenny's rescue! How sweet that he looks out for his stepsister!

I loved lady Gaga appearance. I didn't like her when she first came out because her songs were kind of "blah" (good pop songs but nothing special) and her crazy outfits were just too much for me. But then, I listened to the acoustic version of some of her songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys7LwZnbpRI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CUYvWTd6oA for example) and I realized that she was a GREAT singer... And now, her public persona and crazy attire make me laugh. I always find excuses for talent...

Anyway, more on topic, this episode was great insofar as they apparently got rid of Olivia and ended the "Dan is a cool guy" phase which was getting on my nerves. Blair & Chuck continued to rock even if they didn't share that much screen time and Nate keeps on his desperate quest for a storyline. Good luck, buddy !

As for Serena : yes, she sleeps with whomever she encounters but this is the reason why she was hired ! To play the dumb yet beautiful blonde who smiles and cries and have no personality whatsoever. Which is kind of fun. No need for a better role and no need to get angry because she sleeps with her childhood crush who happens to be married.

They need to bring on new characters and stop with the old Dan/Vanessa Nate/Serena pairings. I actually liked Olivia. I was also a tad disappointed by Gaga's performance, since we know she can be crazier. I'm loving reformed Chuck Bass, and you're right that Blair needs to find something better to do than try to rule NYU. I can't decide if druggie Jenny would be an awesome or awful plotline.

@zeze : aaaah, ok ! You took one more step than me. I went directly to the conclusion that Serena can't make any good decisions, so she would obviously make that assessment about Tripp's marriage... You're kind, you actually gave her the benefit of the doubt...

the episode was pretty decent, but if they make Rufus appear any less intelligent Lily will have to explain what's going on by drawing pictures...

i thought the epi was quite boring actually, except the whole "chuck to the rescue" part because i just flashed back to when chuck was all over jenny in the pilot and thought "wow, he's come a long way!"

Soo judging from the comments i think that we can all agree that.... chuck and blair are still ruling the show even when they are apart. Hilary cant sing, nate is nate, dan is changing, jennys storyline is either going to be a total sucess or a total fail, and mostly, serena is a slut and/or homewrecker
