Ever since the nominations for the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, I've been thinking — a lot — about who will be taking home the awards on Sunday. While there are always surprises, here are my best guesses. Don't forget to fill out your ballot for a chance to win a year of free TV!
OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
My prediction: "The Sopranos." I don't see Emmy voters passing up their last chance to recognize this instant classic.
Secretly rooting for: "The Sopranos." It wasn't my favorite show, but it opened the door for so many other edgy, risky series.
OUTSTANDING COMEDY SERIES
My prediction: "The Office." It was an up-and-down season, sure, but when it's on, it's unbeatable.
Secretly rooting for: "30 Rock." It probably doesn't deserve the win, but it turned into a comedy gem by the end of the season.

OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
My prediction: James Gandolfini. Like the show itself, he's become an icon.
Secretly rooting for: Hugh Laurie. The man needs some Emmy love, and soon.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
My prediction: Kyra Sedwick. It's a divisive performance, but those who like her love her.
Secretly rooting for: Minnie Driver. She really won me over as "The Riches" went on.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
My prediction: Steve Carell. "The Office" wouldn't be what it is without him.
Secretly rooting for: Alec Baldwin or Ricky Gervais. This category has three of my favorite funny men, and I'd be happy for any of them to win.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
My prediction: America Ferrera. They've got to reward at least one breakout star, and Ferrera's got the momentum.
Secretly rooting for: Mary-Louise Parker. Whether you call what she does comedy or drama, she's one of my favorite performers on TV today.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
My prediction: Michael Emerson. He gives dimension to a character who could be just pure evil.
Secretly rooting for: Masi Oka. He's lovable, and he had one of the best acting performances of the "Heroes" season.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
My prediction: Lorraine Bracco. She's finally in the proper category as a supporting actress, and I think she'll ride the "Sopranos" wave.
Secretly rooting for: Chandra Wilson. She's mostly under-the-radar, but she delivers one of the strongest performances on "Grey's."
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
My prediction: Jeremy Piven. I'm about done with Ari, but he still delivers a consistent, funny performance.
Secretly rooting for: Rainn Wilson. Fact: He's one of the funniest guys around.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
My prediction: Elizabeth Perkins. This is the category I had the toughest time predicting, but Perkins' icy-cold comebacks deserve an award of their own.
Secretly rooting for: Jenna Fischer. She has some of the best comic timing on TV today, and who wouldn't root for Pam?

I'd love to see Hugh Laurie and Chandra Wilson win, but I think your predictions are right, Buzz. Some of these categories are tough calls, others--like Outstanding Drama Series--are a bit more predictable. Looking forward to watching on Sunday.
1I'm really hoping that the sopranos doesn't sweep. that makes for one boring awards show!
2I want Hugh Laurie, Rachel G. and 30 Rock to win.
