What's Brett Ratner gotten himself up to after Rush Hour 3?
Word is the guy's-guy is headed to TV, directing and executive-producing a crime drama called "Blue Blood" for NBC.
What's the story?
The show, which Fox initially wanted but decided not to pick up, is an ensemble drama about rookie NYPD cops, centering on one — a Harvard grad — who decided to follow the family path by entering law enforcement. It's based on a memoir of the same name by Edward Conlon.
This means Ratner is all over your TV.
He already executive-produces "Prison Break" for Fox and the new show "Women's Murder Club" for ABC. If the CW or CBS comes up with a project for him, he'll be dangerously close to ruling the world.

Ugh- I HATE this guy! I hear he is (and I haven't seen any evidence to prove otherwise) a totally pompous jerk AND he ruined the X-Men franchise! Hopefully shunting him over to some TV show will keep him out of movies for a while.
1phasekitty i agree, he RUINED, BUTCHERED, DESTROYED, KILLED the x-men franchise. argh!! seriously i'm still mad about that because the first two x-men movies were my favorite comic book adaptations to films, so spot on in character and story.
2i don't know about his personalty but i love prison break and i love the movies that he directed (that i saw) so i have no reason to hate the guy
3This guy is a total pig. He harassed female extras on the set of the Rush Hour films and told them he could get them bigger parts if they slept with him. His work may be good, but it doesn't excuse his personality flaws.
