ABC's V finally debuted, giving us a glimpse at the Visitors (and their creepy alien skins). The premiere brought in a huge audience, making it the second most-watched of the new season — but what did you think of the first episode?

While the opening with the descent of the spaceships is eerily suspenseful, I felt like the writers packed in a ton for just an hour-long show. We discover which cast members are secret Visitors living on earth, that Tyler is already head over heels for a V hottie, and that a counterattack is revving up. While the fast pace kept me entertained, I'm kind of worried about the show burning out too soon — although, maybe the split season will help slow it down.
But tell me your thoughts: Are you liking the new sci-fi series? Is V a worthy replacement for Lost after that show wraps up next year? Or are you writing it off already?

It's definitely well worth watching, but I worry that it moved way too fast. They could have spent a whole season building up to the big evil reveal, and something like Lost would have. On the other hand, people grew impatient with Lost, so there may not be a "best" answer. Still, a few episodes before the skin came off would have been ok, right?
1I loved it, but they should have definately waited a few episodes before something like that. That's what I'm thinking at least. I'm happy to see Morris Chestnut on tv! I will be Tivo-ing it fasho.
2It was a little anti climatic- I don't think they should have revealed the skins- and they DEFINATELY should NOT have already had people shuttling into the spacecraft until at least the 3rd episode. Build some momentum.. keep us around?
3I think it was just right. Those who think it moved too fast, you forget that this show already existed, and the reptilian aliens are no surprise. It's the storyline that's interesting and all the adventures that are to come that should excite you.
4I'm actually annoyed I liked it so much. Will definitely be watching next week.
5I also felt they revealed too much into the first episode, but I loved it. Definitely worth watching
6it was good... i liked how all the vidtors are pretty... and how the human just took to them... but i will have o continue to watch to make sure it is a good show... i hope the next episode doesnt put me down... i cant to watch...
7I didn't like it, too sci-fi for me, I love lost, but that's mostly because it sucked us into the sci-fi before we even knew it. This show is too out there. I couldn't keep my attention on it, I ended up switching to The Office reruns during commericals, and then forgetting to come back.
8I agree with the previous commenter that they had to do an early reveal since we already know what they are. I hope they are able to maintain the dramatic irony of having some people know they are evil and others still believing. I think the story line between the FBI agent mom and her V-enamored son will be good. I look forward to seeing the underground work to subvert the V's without causing a war too soon and petering out the story and killing the show after 1 season.
9No thanks. And that show Lost should have never been on television.
