In honor of this Labor Day holiday, I'm challenging you guys to a quiz featuring the bumbling paper company managers of "The Office" — both the U.K. version featuring Ricky Gervais and the American version with Steve Carell. Let's see how well you've been paying attention when you've spent your off hours with these office mates.

For each question, I'll present you with a quote, and you'll decide whether it was David Brent (Gervais) who said it, or good ol' Michael Scott (Carell). So, do you think you have the smarts to be an assistant to the regional manager, or might you be called an "ignorant slut"? Let's find out...

This was fun!
1"Sometimes the complaints will be false."
So great.
2Best quiz ever!
3Awesome quiz!
4I am a huge David Brent fan. Well actually, he is the biggest jerk around, but his cringeworthy antics are nevertheless hilarious and remarkable.
5Great Quiz.
6Wow, I got 7 out of 10 by just guessing.
7i still can't make myself watch the American Office because I just don't see how it could be better.
8Wow you can certainly tell that I don't watch this show, I only got 4 right.
9The British and the American versions are just different. I have seen every episode of both versions, and I like them both a lot, but you can't compare them- they are different shows based on a different humor and a different culture.
Anyways, that was fun!
10The British version is sooo good (and completely cringeworthy)
117 out of ten right, and i hardly watched either, except u have to lv the david brent dance, he was made by the crowd to do it at Princess di's memorial concert, v funny.
12I love the office however I failed this quiz. I only got the last three right!lol.
13
8/10.
I love both the shows! They're both very different and totally reflect their own country's humor I think.
147/10 is what I scored. Never watched the UK version.
15I've never seen the UK version (it's still on my Netflix queue), but I got a 9/10 just by recognizing the Michael Scott quotes! Woot!
16I've never watched the US version -- I love the UK one so much I just can't imagine the American one being better.
17OOOOhh I loved it, I thought I had them all right but I didn't. I still think David Brent makes the most geniusly awkward boss ever but Michael Scott is more endearing.
18mabess
I totally sympathize but I finally tried it and it took me a few episodes before I would let myself laugh even and now I love it just as much as the UK version, they're so different, you absolutely must watch the American version.
19Whoo hoo 10/10. I love the British version, and the American is great as well!
20Man... I thought i had them all right (8/10) I am seriously missing the office. Can't wait for the new season! =)
21yay 100%!!! i was a big hater of the American version...wouldn't watch it if you paid me. but last season i finally came around & realized that they were both good in their own way. (but the UK version will always be best!)
22This was fun
23whoever comes up with this stuff is genius.
24You know, I passed on the American version for a long time... (Because I was very fearful after trying to watch the American "Coupling.")
But I am glad I finally gave in!
25did better than i thought i would...good quiz!
2640% 4/10
2710 out of 10... and I've never seen an episode of the British version! Woohoo!
2810/10!!!! yay! and for those of you who refuse to watch the american version, i've watched both and they're like apples and oranges. i love both but to be honest, the only thing they really have in common is the setting. and if you're planning on trying to watch the american version, skip the first season and go straight to the second. it's all gold!
2910/10!!! Very Easy!!
30I don't even saw season 2 of the uk version! Question 8 by the way was the easiest. You didn't even had to see that episode for knowing the answer!
