I am not embarrassed to admit that the trailer for George Clooney's upcoming thriller Michael Clayton utterly confuses me. I can see there's some kind of lawsuit and mystery going on, but that's about all I got.
Warner Bros. describes the plot thusly: "Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is an in-house 'fixer' at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. A former criminal prosecutor, Clayton takes care of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen's dirtiest work at the behest of the firm's co-founder Marty Bach (Sydney Pollack). At U/North, meanwhile, the career of litigator Karen Crowder (Tilda Swinton) rests on the multi-million dollar settlement of a class action suit that Clayton's firm is leading to a seemingly successful conclusion. But when Kenner Bach's brilliant and guilt-ridden attorney Arthur Edens (Tom Wilkinson) sabotages the U/North case, Clayton faces the biggest challenge of his career and his life."
I'm still a little lost, so to watch the trailer and see if you can figure it out before Michael Clayton opens October 5, read more

Yeah I'm kinda stumped too. But I think I get a bit distracted with Mr. Clooney appears
1george's movies lately are a bit confusing.. but i wouldn't want him to take scripts purely based on what the audience would understand. let's face it. a lot of people like dumb movies. but that's what entertains us and helps us escape from the serious matters in the world for an hour or two.
2It seems to me, and I could be wrong, George Clooney's character has a job that involves covering up the truth for coporations. He takes on the case of a head guy at a coporation whose company's dirty little secret is eating him alive to the point he's going crazy, stripping down in meetings, etc. Clooney is suppose to come in and fix the problem, but I guess whatever the situation is creates a moral dilemma for Clooney's character, which is a conflict of interest for him and so instead of covering up the truth his character goes about trying to further uncover it and probably exposing it in the end.
That's just my take though.
I love George Clooney. I want to marrry him when I grow up, or at least have a long term relationship with him that involves working out some of my own dirty little secrets.
3Sorry Lula his ass is mine!!
Although Bella thinks otherwise....I'll fight her for him
4I watched the trailer twice and have NO CLUE what that movie is about. Oh well.
5What the huh wah? LOVE George, but this is a garbled preview. Plus, Tom and Tilda need to work on their American accents.
6I got confused as well.. but then again it may be becouse I was to busy paying attention to George! He seems to distract my thoughts when he comes across the screen!!!
Cant wait til the movie comes out!! Im going thru George withdrawals over here!!
7come on everybody its george clooney i saw the trailler and i did not understand anything but movie looked to me so intersting i cant wait to see it love u gc
8There's a plot? I guess I was so busy looking at George that I didn't pay attention!!!! Mmmmmmmmmm!
9What?! How did anyone not clue into what U north did? Their pesticides were killing humans and animals. It talked about it a few times. The most obvious was when they found those papers in Auther's briefcase about the scientific study and the deathly results the chemicals had. Those are the same papers that made the whole ending...
10I personally thought the movie was pretty good. Not way great, but pretty good. There were just a couple parts that were a tiny bit slow, but not enough to bore me or anything. The movie held my attention.
Although the plot concept is a bit tired, it was still good. Not to mention the fact that I truly believe that it's not only a movie plot, but something that exists in reality.
All in all, I say it's a good movie.
