Oh, you guys, I'm such a sap. I've been secretly preparing all summer to hate "Private Practice" and call it a huge disappointment and a disgrace to the big-name actors and actresses in the cast ... and then I watched four promos in a row, and I kind of got chills. Sigh.
The thing is, I really love Addison. I want to be best friends with Addison. And watching these promos — which are heavy on Kate Walsh's "Grey's" scenes and light on actual "Private Practice" content — reminds me of how cool and determined and strong and kick-ass she can be. If "Private Practice" screws up my Addy, I'm outta there; otherwise, I might love it. (The sneak preview episode was iffy on that count.)

I've got some doubts about this show, but I have to say I LOVE Audra McDonald, so I'm excited to see how the recast plays out. Plus Taye Diggs is unbelievably hot.

4Addie rocks! (she was the only good thing about Grey's in season 3, so good bye Grey's hello Private Practice) I am so uber excited for this show!
ABC did say they were making changes based on the criticism of the pilot, so I am interested to see what the changes are.
5I thought Addie and Callie were the best part of Grey's last year, so I'm excited that she'll have her own show. I do like Audra and with Taye, that means some awesome singing or karaoke scene has to happen at some point, right?
And on a shallow note, I'm not digging Chris Lowell with the shorter do.

20yummy, tim daly!!! yay!! i actually wanna see this, it looked pretty good. at first i thought i'd hate it but i'm reconsidering quite a bit
21this is so exciting - 2 major surgeons leaving the grey's anatomy cast means some new people or totally different story lines - like of course not as much focus on pregnancy issues or whatever. private practice looks really good - a lot more laid back and fun than the drama on grey's.
22I'm definitely going to give Private Practise a try - I was more interested in that story line than the one on Greys when they ran them together. I love Kate and I think she'll hit this one out of the park.
As a petty side note, I'd like to talk to the people who did this photography shoot. Most of the pictures are awful from the stand point of connection. The separate shots have them posing in such awkward positions. It's really hard to have someone look comfortable just standing there. The only ones that look good are when they touch a wall or go close-up. Even the group picture makes everyone look disconnected. Okay, I'll shut up now.
23I love Addison, so I'll be watching this show, without a doubt, even if the pilot/preview episode didn't totally convince me, it's Addison! It's worth at least a try.

27I have low expectations which this show may meet, and even exceed on occasion. I love Kate Walsh, but the pilot sucked and the characters on PP seems SO contrived and canned. Hopefully, the kinks have been worked out...hopefully...
28I dunno- I wasn't a huge fan of the pilot but I really want to like this show. I'll check out a few episodes.
29Hated the pilot and how they turned Addison into a ditz, but I'll keep giving it a chance. Plus, I love Amy, Taye and Paul!
