Every few years, a woman-heavy ensemble hits the theaters, and I always hope it's going to be as good as the standard, Steel Magnolias. This year's flick, Women in Trouble, stars Carla Gugino, Connie Britton, Marley Shelton, Emanuelle Chriqui, and Sarah Clarke as the various women from different walks of life. One's a porn star, one's a masseuse, one's a flight attendant, and many of them are in their bras in this trailer. As you can tell from the title, they're each in some kind of personal trouble and the film looks like a Crash-like melange of the ladies' intersecting lives.
There's also a wee bit of testosterone with a few actors who are easy on the eyes: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, and Simon Baker. The cast seems pretty promising, but I worry it'll veer into the same stale territory as last year's The Women.

Oh no not again. Another movie about poor women getting pummeled emotionally. Don't they ever make any where MEN are in trouble.
1No, because they still rule and we live in a paternalistic society. Things don't change much.
was this made in 1996? seriously, why does it look like that? the styling looks really dated or something...
2i'll probably see this since the cast is amazing.
3The cast looks cute but why are they all super-attractive white women? I don't think I would identify with many of them...
4i really like Emanuelle, so itll be nice to see her in something different than Entourage. hope she's good!
5okay; I know I'm about to open up a huge can or worms; but I am so sick of women thinking that female independence and empowerment is achieved through acting like prostitutes and disrespecting our bodies and dignity. and what I hate even more is that men keep making these stupid movies which debase women and depict them as over-emotional sluts who are good for nothing but taking off their clothing; and women keep watching those movies and giving those men their money! is that really how we think we are going to gain equality?! this movie looks really stupid...

I agree, starlotus. Plus, why are most of them in their underwear for the majority of the trailer?
7Where are the women of color? True, I can't identify very well either.
8Are we not emotionally distressed as well?
