October is almost halfway through, and Halloween is everywhere you turn. There's plenty of fun to be had beyond the candy and costumes — like special episodes of some of my favorite TV shows. CBS is already gearing up for the holiday with special episodes of NCIS, The Mentalist, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, and, Numb3rs, but I hope the fun doesn't stop there.
I'd love to see something extra spooky on The Vampire Diaries (especially since there's a pivotal Halloween event in the book), and maybe this year How I Met Your Mother can match "The Slutty Pumpkin" episode from a few seasons ago. We've still got a couple of weeks to go, but what are some of your favorite Halloween-themed episodes of the past?

1From the first season of That 70s Show - Fez with the candy! He couldn't believe "they GIVE you candyy????"
2Whenever I think of halloween episodes I always think of the slutty pumpkin from himym. I generally always love any holiday episodes like halloween and christmas.

4Any Treehouse of Horror episodes from the Simpsons.
5I always think of 2 Buffy the Vampire Slayer Halloween episodes. There is the one where everyone turns into their costume and she ends up as a noble woman (and a brunette) and then there is on the one where they are locked in the frat house. Oh and how Anya is dressed as a bunny because its the most terrifying thing she can think of.
6Oh, and Buffy always had good Halloween episodes. Like the one where everyone turned into their costumes, or the one where the fraternity haunted house was really haunted.

8ROSEANNE and the SIMPSONS Tree House of Horror episodes are the BEST Halloween episodes in all TV history.
9Actually during the 90's ABC shows used to always turn it out for Halloween. You could expect Full House, Family Matters, Home Improvement all to do something extra fun for Halloween. I miss those days a bit.

The best part about it was when I first watched it I remember it actually being scary in some scenes.
16zeze - I loved that episode of Boy Meets World too! I was also really scared the first time I saw it but I thought it was a good episode. I liked the part where they mention that virgins never die in horror movies and Cory is like "Thank you, Topanga!" and Eric & Jack said "We're dead." I believe Shawn said something along the lines of "I'm KINDA dead."
I liked the Charmed Halloween episodes too, as well as the ones from Friends. Holiday episodes are just great in my opinion.

19kind of out there; but does anyone remember the show "Off Centre?" I think it was supposed to be kind of a spin-off show of the "American Pie" movies and it featured Eddie Kaye Thomas, the deliciously British Sean Maguire, and the always lovable, always adorable (and kind of hot), always hilarious John Cho.
20the Halloween episode was the best: in the first scene; four of the main characters are sitting in their little hang-out coffee house (or something like that) talking about the costume party that they're going to attend that night. in comes John Cho in full-on leather with buttless chaps and all! of course, they ask him if that is his costume for the parts and he says "Is that tonight? Crap, I gotta get a costume! and then walks out showing off his bare butt to all. silly, but when John Cho does it; hilarious.
later he shows up to the party as a salad bar (still probably my favorite costume that I have ever seen; in fiction or reality) complete with a sneeze guard and proceeds to flirt with a girl whom they think is dressed up as a homeless person (turns out she is homeless, of course); giving her permission to "munch on [his] croutons."
It's a really funny episode and I am not doing it justice at all; it's probably my favorite Halloween-themed TV episode of all time...

And lizlee I loved Off Centre but I never saw that episode. Sounds good though, maybe I have to!
In my opinion thought, on TV at the moment it's gotta be The Office and HIMYM.
