Scarlett Johansson has been super busy lately, readying herself for the premiere of one movie next Friday (The Nanny Diaries), working on Woody Allen's latest project and scoring herself three more roles.
One of these is in the oft-reported-on film adaptation of He's Just Not That Into You. In it she joins the all-star cast (now with more Aniston!) as "a pilates instructor/aspiring singer who has an affair with a married man and hopes that he will leave his wife for her."
Next after that project Johansson will try her hand at a comic-book movie, playing a dangerous woman named Silken Floss in Will Eisner's The Spirit, directed by Frank Miller. Apparently, "Floss is a sexy and intelligent secretary with a vindictive instinct that makes her the perfect accomplice to the Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson), an evil mastermind."
And finally, she will join the cast of Mary Queen of Scots in the title role. Hollywood Reporter describes the project as a "period indie, a love story based on the early life of the legendary queen (Johansson) that focuses on her relationship with the Earl of Bothwell and her rivalry with her half-brother James." John Curran (We Don't Live Here Anymore, The Painted Veil) is set to direct.
If I've learned anything about the film world today it is that filmmakers love the ScarJo.

Is any NOT in He's Just Not That Into You?
1im glad tat scarlett is gettin more roles
2"a pilates instructor/aspiring singer who has an affair with a married man and hopes that he will leave his wife for her."
I like her and all, but this the same role she played in Match Point except then she was an aspiring actress.
3Heck, I'll get in line of those in love with the ScarJo and buying tickets to see on screen!

5This photo is perfect
6whoa, that will be totally an interesting movie! and what a MIX of cast members!!!
7I'm impressed - she almost always makes good choices in picking her films (can't say that so much for Black Dahlia and Perfect Score). Her career's flown to the moon and beyond after Lost in Translation (which is a role I'm confident she will never ever top), she's on her third Woody Allen film (!), has made two films for Eric Schaeffer when she was a wee actress, and I truly enjoyed her in The Prestige (despite her sad attempt at a slummy brit accent), A Love Song for Bobby Long and Girl with a Pearl Earring. I finally saw the trailor for The Nanny Diaries, and she seems delightful in it!
8The Mary Queen of Scots one sounds very interesting. I'm just not into the first movie at all. In fact, if I hear anymore about it I might just
9She looks really pretty in that photo.
10Just the both Jennifer's and Drew was great, actually.
11i love her hair in that picture. meow.
12she sure has her work cut out for her.
13Scarlett + Frank Miller = Cant wait!
14Love period dramas and that other film has an EXCELLENT cast
I love that Drew, the two Jennifers and Bradley Cooper are in HJNTIY, but now with Scarlett, woohoo. lol
The period film sounds interesting. Love period films and ones about royalty.
15ugh i can't stand scarlett. i'm sooo upset she's in the nanny diaries because i loved the book and now i don't think i can even bear to go see it. and now she's doing he's just not that into you too...another one i can't see now
16I cant stand her!
17heh! could care less about her. hope she doesn't ruin the "he's just not that into you" because it was a movie i'm really excited to see when it comes out.
18i meant "it is a movie...."
19Yes, so I.
20I love her. Her, Natalie Portman, and Kiera Knightley are the only actresses in their age bracket that don't make me want to stab myself in the eyes and walk out of the theater early. that being said, I'm disappointed that she's going to be in he's just not that into you, because it's going to suck. Jennifer Aniston is a joke, she can only play one character. And not only that, but her one character is annoying and totally unconvincing.
21First SEE the movie, then you say what you think. So ignorance saying what you don't know about.
22She is really into period films isnt she...
23i'm glad she's making good movie choices! i'll definitely want to see those movies..especially mary queen of scots
24loooved the book Nanny's diaries and I think Scarlet is great casting for the film version...wanna see it.
25I just can't get into her, I think she is a horrible actress.
