SAbra won it because she diaplayed heart, picked up every single dance she had and totally owned it, made all her partners look even better, and she didn't have the edge that the others may have had such as a brother who won and was popular or years and years and years of experience. YAY SABRA!!!!
1I adore Sabra and am soooo glad she won, but seriously, Lacey is a great dancer regardless of who her brother is. If that is an "edge," it hardly mattered. And there's nothing wrong with years and years of experience - it shows a dedication to the art. You make it sound like steroids or something.
2I felt that Sabra "popped" on the stage much more than the other dancers. She always looked like she loved what she was doing and it came from every part of her being. She never just went "through the motions" which I saw more often in the other three finalists. BTW, i read in her bio that she had some gymnastics training before dance, which does help a lot. Flexibility, strong center, etc. Either way, I was so happy she won! America got it right.
3To be honest I didn't care much for this season. The contestants really didn't hold my interest this year. I loved last year's contestants. Benji, Travis, Heidi ..... they had me glued to the tv.
4The choreographers weren't that great this season either.
I was happy with the final 2 dancers. If the show was looking for the best dancer Danny should have won, but they were looking for America's favorite dancer and Sabra just came alive on stage and was wonderful to watch.
5Guess a lot of people agree with me
but I'll just say it
again. Sabra won, and she deserved to win! Congrats Sabra!
6Misriss, I think you said it perfectly.
7Before I though I would be happy with either Danny or Sabra but for some reason when the said Sabra would I felt disappointed. Danny's solo on Wednesday was simply amazing.
8i was so glad to see Sabra win! She is so talented and, like they said, she dances from the heart. While the others may have been a little better in their own styles, she showed an ability to be the absolute best overall and most adaptable. Love her!
9I liked Lacey. She was adorable, sweet and could pull off the sexy look.
10I liked Lacey. She was adorable, sweet and could pull off the sexy look.
11I like both Sabra and Danny, but I wanted Sabra to win the whole thing. I was so happy that she did. Lacey is a good dancer but she looked real stank sometimes like she took the sexy too far. I hardly remember the other guy.
12Danny was by far the best dancer, but Sabra was amazing and connected with the audience more. I am happy she won, but would have been happier if Danny took the title.
13NEUROTICONE i completely know what you are saying. i was really excited that the bottom two where two people i would have love to take the crown. but when sabra won (who i adore because yes, she does look like she loved what she was dancing on stage) i felt a bit empty/disappointed that i sort of wanted danny to win.
i'm still glad that sabra won, she's amazing but DANNY! i saids it before i can watch him dance/twirl all day.
14I think all of them were really talented and I genuinely liked all of them. Though Sabra had so much great personality, I'm happy she won.
15YAY! i'm so happy Sabra won!!!! =) she's an amazing and talented dancer and she totally deserves to win.
On a sidenote...how awesome was it that Sara was in like 3 of the choregraphers favorite numbers?? =)
16Was it just me, or was anyone else super annoyed by the "dance" Nigel and Cat did. They kept teasing it and teasing it...and then it was some lame cartoon from JibJab!
17i totally am fan of Lauren! I cannot understand how Sabra won! y Holy crap
18I agree with minko, the choreographers this season were not overly impressive...not that I could have done better, I just was not wowed.
19Sabra is America's Favorite cause of course of her talent and her natural ability to grab and ENTERTAIN an audience. Also since she has only been dancing for 4 years... incredible. BUT Danny! WOW has everything that a dancer should be! He is incredible to watch and you never get tired or bored of watching him, and his technique is amazing -- beyond Sabra's. He is a wonderful entertainer! I understand why Sabra (I love her too) was America's favorite dancer but I think that its a shame that a talent like Danny's was not rewarded. There is a trend in America where talent and skill are not considered as much as emotional responses to people's life story and entertainment. Hence the popularity of celebs like Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and the like. I was a bit disappointed...
20Danny and Neil were awesome. Lacey's personality on stage was the best though. Sabra was good but she never moved me.
21The Jib Jab thing was ridiculous and self-indulgent.
22I LOVE Sabra and Danny, but I was really happy that Sabra won. And that jib jab thing annoyed me too.
23I liked Sabra and Neil.
)
24i LOVED lacey. i cant believe she didnt win. sabra moves and looks like a gymnast, not a dancer. yes, she was good. but better than danny and lacey? heck no!
25Sabra won because they couldn't let a boy win three years in a row and they couldn't allow two siblings to win.
Sabra is obviously a good little dancer and a hard worker but there's no way she's one tenth as talented as Danny, Neil or Lacey. Seeing as the prize this year was only money and no contract, I don't feel so bad for the "losers". I have the feeling Danny and Neil will without a doubt accomplish more in their dance careers than a reality tv show.
26i am soo happy that sabra won
she's only been dancing for four years and she was better then most of the other dancers!
27I loved Sabra, and felt that she was a good winner, however I am still disappointed that Pasha was not up there in the Final Four, where I felt he really deserved to be. He truly never dropped the ball once all season long, and for him not to be in the top group was enough to make me not care who won.
Congratulations to Sabra, though...she is a cutie, and a talented dancer besides.
28Yes, a history in gymnastics did tremendously help her, but her dancing game was a heck of a lot better than lacey's and lauren's. The extensions she was capable of doing were phenom !!! Lacey captured the audience and viewers with her attitude, but I feel it played a clever disguise for her talent, don't get me wrong, she's very talented, but in contrast to Sabra, no comparison. Do you honestly believe she could have pulled off some of the routines Sabra did i.e. the jazz number with Neil?
I was happy with the top two. Danny obviously the BEST dancer, but SYTYCD is on the basis of the FAVORITE, and clearly, they weren't. My only thing was that I wanted to see Sarah go farther, but the talent was there, the choregraphy was iffy this season.
29I thought Sabra was a beautiful dancer and I'm certainly not upset that she won. The weird thing about her for me, was that she seemed so vibrant and beautiful dancing with just her partner, but I could *never* pick her out of the group. She just blended and was totally unnoticeable. Odd.
I wanted Danny to win. I think by the end of the show you could tell that while he was a confident dancer, he was the opposite of arrogant. He seemed really unsure of himself as a person, and overcompensated which came off as arrogance. And he was an absolutely beautiful dancer.
I don't understand all these complaints about "nepotism". The dance world is an extremely small world. If you outlaw anyone who has ever been an assistant of anyone on the show and anyone related to anyone who has ever been on the show, you'd probably cut out a huge chunk of the real talent in the dance world. Why would you want to do that? Who really cares who a dancer is related to? Isn't how they dance what really matters?
