Matt LeBlanc's career hasn't exactly been blossoming since his days as Joey Tribbiani, but Friends fans will be happy to know that he's returning to the small screen on a new Showtime comedy called Episodes. The show focuses on a British couple who find their successful show in the UK adapted into a "dumbed-down" American sitcom starring LeBlanc, which means he'll be playing himself on the show.
With popular BBC shows like The Office and Skins adapted for American audiences, the premise for Episodes is timely and sounds like it has the potential to be pretty funny. Plus, LeBlanc poking fun at himself just might be gold — are you excited to welcome him back to TV?

Im sure it will be a good show to watch plus its Joey come on How you doing>! I love him
1This sounds like it might have a similar premise to The Comeback, so it definitely could be funny. You just need some talented writers and I hope it does well.
2Meh, I don't think he's a very good actor. I think he was good on Friends but he was strengthened by his castmates on that. I have no interest in seeing him in a show that's not Friends.
3It might be good, only time will tell.
4haha; I just love the idea of showing how American tv truly is dumbed down, especially compared to British. this sounds good; I still have a spft spot for him; no, he isn't all that talented (although I would say his success on Friends was more good typecasting - he pretty much is Joey Tribbiani; although, I hope, much smarter - rather than good co-stars). I agree that it does sound like The Comeback, which I still really want to see (I almost feel bad for still not having watched it - I heard it was pretty good); and I agree that it better have some good writers...
5This IS him playing himself! FRIENDS is based on the British show COUPLING isn't it?????
6I no longer watch any TV but I wish him the best. The guys were the glue of that show.
7he's a pretty good actor - he was so funny on friends, but have u seen him in interviews?! he actually has a pretty flat, boring personality... unless i watched a bad interview or something? but he was pretty bland in one interview i saw, but he's definitely really funny as joey! if i'm wrong, please correct me
8His new show sounds a lot like what I'm going through right now. I'd love to see him play that out, he'd be excellent at it. Couldn't pick a better guy to play what's really going on behind the scenes. I will relish seeing the creator fascade come down that so many hacks are hiding behind. I'm enjoying just the thought of it.
Yeah, Matt, I hope this works for you. I had something else for you that I spoke to people about but it got hung up by my agent who was afraid to approach the production company that had already asked me to have my agent send it over. My agent has since left the agency he was with and I'm guessing he ran with a stack of my scripts to go set them up at a production company with himself named as the producer.
These vile scumbags are evil, but I'm sure you can make it humorous. I think we can all relate to lowlife thieves because we've all run across one
Best of luck on this one..
9Have one of the moronic hacks writing the ripped-off version repeatedly say, "It's the definition of an artist that blah, blah, blah." Fill in the blah's with something nonsensical but that almost sounds like there was an effort at putting real thought into it. Hacks are capable of real thought though so the line must always come off as babble.
10Or rather, "Hacks AREN'T capable of real thought...:
