I'm not sure how the topic came up, exactly, but MTV recently interviewed Claire Danes and asked if there might be a "My So-Called Life" movie in her future, which Danes called "a bad idea." So, that's a "no."

But if they were to make a movie follow-up to the beloved TV series, would you want to see it? Or do you agree that that's "a bad idea"?

I'm still mad that they never wrapped up all the loose ends to that show. They left so many questions unanswered! Even if it was just an MTV made-for-tv movie (which, of course, makes more sense than a big screen movie), I'd watch it.
I love the show but I think it's a bad idea. There 13 years too late.
i used to love that show, but too much time has passed. it will have lost the nostalgia.
As much as I loved the show, it may be enough to rest on the memories and not try to recreate the past.
i love my so called life. the way the ended the series really pissed me off! they should have given the show some closure (or not cancelled it - cause it was damn good!) i think it's kinda late for a movie though. i highly doubt they could get the whole case back together. plus, who would even go see it? maybe they should do a tv movie like growing pains does every few years.
i REALLY REALLY REALLY loved this show. but there's no way now that everyone is older that it would be quite so relevant and meaningful. SAD. damn jordan was hot!
I like to remember the show as it was.
A movie would ruin it.
It was a show about the times, it wouldnt be relevant today.
Not really - I would have loved if they would have just gotten it right the first time and continued the series rather than dumbly cancelling it.
i'm not sure how they would even begin to approach this. i'm with you caterpillar, i don't think it would fit well in today's societal climate, anyway.
No way
Not all. It makes you wonder if the show would have gained such a huge following if it lasted more than one series, or like other popular shows the fans would get bored of it.
y'know, i loved it when i was in 7th grade. then i borrowed the box set from a friend last year and... it was awful. definitely did not have the same impact on me.
NO!
Have you seen Shopgirl? I kinda think of that character as Angela Chase, 10 years later.
BAD IDEA!
aren't they a bit old now?
