The season six premiere of Desperate Housewives opens with Mike's much-anticipated wedding and then takes us on a series of flashbacks to the weeks leading up to the big event.
With Edie out of the picture and a new housewife on the block, Mike's marriage isn't the only scandal happening on Wisteria Lane. To chat about the exciting season premiere, just read more.
Susan — She's been avoiding Katherine since she and Mike got back together but is forced to see her when she stops by Bree's house. Hiding behind Lynette, she manages to avoid a confrontation until a delivery man leaves Susan's wedding dress at Katherine's house, leaving her no choice but to go over and pick it up. When Susan stops by, Katherine opens the door wearing the dress — and teases her by cooking red pasta sauce dangerously close to the dress. It's obvious that Katherine is upset about the wedding, but Susan is determined that it be her special day. Susan might have more than Katherine to worry about with Julie back in town being courted by Danny, the new housewife's son.
Bree — Still estranged from Orson and toying with an affair with her divorce lawyer Carl, Bree struggles with her adulterous feelings. When Orson begs her to rethink the divorce and consider counseling, she realizes that "guilt is a small price to pay for happiness" and books a hotel room for a rendezvous with Carl — in clean sheets, of course.
Gaby — Carlos's niece Mariana is living at the house and pushing Gaby's patience. Gaby sees right through Mariana's tricks and tries to keep her teenage ways under control by monitoring what she wears to school and implementing a 10 p.m. curfew. Gaby sees a lot of her teenage self in Mariana and doesn't want her to have to go through the same struggles that she did, so she signs papers to legalize her and Carlos's guardianship over Mariana.
Lynette — Three months pregnant with twins and realizing she'll be 60 years old when they graduate from high school, Lynette is stressed out about the idea of adding two more to the family. In the waiting room at the doctor's office, she scares a young new mom-to-be out of her elation with details about saggy boobs, constant breastfeeding, and absent husbands. Later, she and Tom are together for the first ultrasound, and when she doesn't show any excitement for the babies, Tom confronts her. She breaks down and says she doesn't love the babies liked she loved their other kids. Tom assures her that once she holds them she will, but she doesn't seem too convinced.
Katherine — Crazed from losing Mike, Katherine is a mix of depressed and resentful. She and Susan still haven't spoken since the breakup, and she intends to get a public apology from Susan — at her and Mike's wedding. Susan refuses and locks her in a closet before the ceremony, but she manages to get out and meet them in the aisle after the ceremony. Even after Susan gives in and apologizes in front of the entire church, it's pretty clear that Katherine won't be letting go of her heartbreak, or resentment for Susan, any time soon.
Angie — The mysterious new housewife on the block (spitfire Drea de Matteo) brings her husband Nick and son Danny to Fairview. We see that, obviously, they left some dark past behind when we get a glimpse of some pretty gnarly scars on Angie's back. But Angie won't be the only one stirring things up since Danny seems to have a sordid past too. After he and Julie go on a date and get in a fight and he goes missing after Mike and Susan's wedding, we are left to wonder who mysteriously strangled Julie and escaped the scene.
What did you think of the season premiere? Was there enough crazy and intrigue to keep you watching another season?

Was Julie fighting with Angie's son because he caught her sleeping the Angie's husband?

2I am so glad Mike married Susan. I always thought Katherine was in the wrong in that situation. To me, you just do not date your good friend's ex-husband. It's just wrong.
3Not to mention she forced him into proposing and moving, it is kind of pathetic.
I feel bad for Lynett, the comment about being in her 60s when the kiddies graduate is sad.
4OMG!!! I love desperate housewives!!!! that angie girl seems creepy though shes like 'we need people to think we're nice' ??? and i bet that danny kid is the one who strangled julie. I was really shocked though at the end of the episode. I wonder why danny told julie to go to hell?
5Seriously how many families with sordid pasts can move into the same neighborhood, I know everyone has skeletons in their closets and I know its TV but still its getting tired. Also I was really annoyed with the whole Susan and Katherine thing, I didn't get why everyone was being so b*tchy to Susan, I mean I understand it must suck to be K but she took Susan's ex husband ...that is just not nice. And then Susan as always feels the need to behave like she's in high school, what the hell was wrong with going over to Katherine's saying she was sorry but that he was in fact her husband before Katherine ever came into the picture.
6I feel for Lynette with the soon to be Brady Bunch and I get the age thing, too, but at least its something happening more and more today. Many celebrities are having kids well into their 40s, so they may be 70 by the time their kids graduate. It will definitely be an interesting story line, if not a realistic one. Susan, Katherine and even Gabi have lives that are a bit of a stretch to say the least.
7I'm gonna miss this show once it's over
8Ummm, strangling? WTF?
9ok so katherine annoys me. first of all, SHE is the one who dated her best friend's ex husband, which is a taboo... so she was wrong in the first place. not to mention she guilted him into moving in with her, so she is crazy. susan is not wrong in this and after all her and mike have been through, i am glad to see them back together (and let's hope it stays that way).
gabi's niece is tiresome. we already saw the bad behavior with andrew and edi's nephew, etc.... moving on.
the new family creeps me out - this will be interesting to see where it goes
10i thought it was fabulous. Juanita's "ohh snap" was perfect.
11Katherine's reaction was absolutely awful. How dare she? What I wonder though, is how that dress fits both Katherine AND Susan when they definitely have different figures. Dana Delaney is a bit curvier than Teri Hatcher. I mean, if you want to go by imdb (which may or may not be reliable), Hatcher is a 34B-23-34 and Delaney is a 34C-25-36. Wedding dresses, particularly couture, are meant to fit like a glove. Delany would be bursting out of the dress in places if she wore the dress.
12Yay Susan
Katherine better not try anything.
13Ok, so I think Danny told his friend (who we'll later see) that he really likes Julie, but got mad at her for some reason. So Danny's friend got revenge on Julie because she upset Danny. I highly doubt Danny hurt Julie. I heard a rumor that Julie may have slept with Nick, (Danny's dad)! Whoa, I don't know what to believe on that one. But I think Ana was just being a wh*re when she went to the park with Danny, but that is the Alibi for Danny, so yaay! =)
14So I am totally wrapped up in the whole Danny, Julie, strangle situation. I could care less about Katherine, Susan, and Mike situation. Every one's saying crap about Katherine and Susan, but what about MIKE?! He left the love of his life, for her BESTFRIEND! Hello, can you say, slime ball? Who goes after their ex's bestfriend, just not right. So I can't stand Mike. And for Katherine, despite the whole, Susan had him first thing, It must have hurt her to be ditched so suddenly like that. I mean come on, any one would be hurt and bitter. So she has a right to be upset, however she should have know better for going after her bestfriends ex. So Mike nad Katherine are both in the wrong. And BTW, the comment above me, I TOTALLY didn't think about that, but now I seriously believe that Danny didn't strangle Julie. I'm so anxious for the second episode to air.
15could any one think it is katherine who strangled julie? the whole reason mike and susan broke up the first time was because of the stress put on them after their car accident, maybe katherine is trying to give them more drama so he runs away from it again back to her. she is telling orson that mike's making passes at her and stuff too... a possibility,
16but i also believe it might be nick now too. because julie told lynette her "baby daddy" was complicated so that complication could be that hes married and if julie told nick she may have been prego, he may have wanted to hurt her in some way... but i think the katherine thing would be a good twist because obviously they want us to believe its the new, weird, and insensitive neighbors..
hmmmm well i just hate katherine ..she is a fake ..a monster..samtimes i wish she will just be kicked off de show ...lol.....welll she is weird ...and susan is funny love her .....
as for bree she is irritaint , and i love gaby she is a true role model for mairana
i think the person who tried to kill julie was angie's husband or danny ...weird family
17when dose it start
18I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW..I OWN ALL THE SERIS AND WATCH OVER AND OVER....
19Uh, Carlos's niece is just named Ana, not Mariana.
I think the confusion is because the actress who plays her is named Maiara [Walsh], which is not too far from Mariana.
Also, it's Karl, not Carl.
Sorry to be nit-picky, but hey, we're supposed to be fans of the show right?
20Desperate housewives... I'll miss u wen u are gone.
21Ohh Angie... U suck!
