There have been rumors about this since even before the new Melrose Place premiered and now it's confirmed — Heather Locklear will be reprising her role as Amanda Woodward on the series. Executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer say we should look for her return on the November 17 episode and they couldn't be happier about it. They said,
"We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place. Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion"
Episode three of the series airs tonight which is sure to bring many more scandalous moments, so despite what has been reported as lackluster ratings it sounds like the network is still ramping up the excitement. Last we saw Amanda Woodward she was faking her own death, so her return should be interesting. What do you think — are you excited to hear that Heather will be back on the show?

1She made the show the first time around so I am happy to see her coming back.
2I am excited to Jenna Dewan too but she won't appear until episode 7. I am excited to see more people join this cast.
I tried watching the first two episodes but I don't think I will last long enough to see any new (or old) faces on Melrose Place. I just don't think this show is any good.
3The new show is not good at all, and unless they focus on the "old" cast members, it's not going to be.
And Heather's had some terrible cheek implants.
4I'm a big fan of the new show so far. I'd love to see Amanda sparring with mini-Amanda, the leggy blonde on the current show who is also a professional force to be reckoned with.
5I am not really impressed with the new show, certain things are happening too fast and some of the actors could use going back to school as their acting is terrible. I am going to continue to give it a chance though as the new 90210 was lame at first as well.
